Just seems that the quality of the keepers in this division is incredibly low and with the signing of Olsen, we have given ourselves a big advantage. We should really have tested the B’ham and Swansea keepers more, both were weak. The Derby keeper looks as nervous as hell and the Peterborough keeper wasn’t saving much. Wes was badly positioned yesterday and that could’ve cost us on another day. As we saw with Henderson, a top keeper can earn you an extra 10-12 points a season, which could make the difference for us qualifying for the playoffs or not

Agreed

And it’s not just the saves a keeper makes that create points

It’s the confidence his ability gives the entire team, allowing them to play higher up the field, the defenders the safety to bomb on and the pressure it puts on the opponents striker to take an extra touch or pass instead of shooting

Loosing Hendo affected all the above when replaced by a less confident and fearsome Rammers

Olsens age, CV, international pedigree and sheer bloody size should give the lads that extra push going forward, and the oppo a thought of “this fuckers saving everything “ that certainly can’t be said of anyone who kept goal since Hendo left

Hoping he’s in that Peter Schmeichel mould. A big booming voice at the back, who can organise his defenders, and at the same time earn their respect.
