For those unable to listen to the video - its basically a SSN pundit explaining that we have struggled for an out and out goalscorer and perhaps Madine is the answer. No mention of a certain 22 goal striker we have had all season, seems oblivious to his existence.

I like Alex Scott too, she’s eye candy (which helps) but she’s also very good too and often says something informative and very different to the other studio guests. At times she makes her colleagues look inadequate because her knowledge is spot on, she obviously does her homework.

Sky seemed to work very hard at one time to raise their production values but I’m not sure they care anymore. I rarely listen to pundits anymore pre and post match, especially EFL games. People mock the idiot savant Claridge but at least he was actually interested in football outside the PL (maybe still is but I don’t listen to 5 live much these days).

Laura Woods is excellent. I listen to Danny Kelly’s Friday evening show when I’m in and she’s very good on that.

Thing is Roy, it shouldn't really require any research. Sharp has been at the top of his game for some time, regularly appears as our leading scorer, gets mentioned constantly, so to erase Bill from any context to do with our recent upswing seems both daft and unforgivable. Smith must be a genuine numpty if she failed to comment on Bill's existence.

Imagine, a player renowned for his goal-scoring efforts, erased from football's history in one dopey moment. This has nothing to do with Smith being a woman, but it has everything to do with a paid pundit (what do you think, £500 a show? Maybe even more, say £2000?) failing such a rudimentary test. Get rid before it makes the Beeb look like their pandering to an equal opps scheme for the unprepared, or even worse, the 'completely shit at being a supposed expert'.
