Now you mention it yes. Weren't they an oval shape?

After the match on saturdays my grandfather would occasionally arrange to meet my grandmother, who'd been shopping at the Rag and Tag. There was a Davy's nearby and we'd sometimes go for a cup of tea. One saturday (after a match remember) Woody came in to the cafe, sat down, lit a fag and ordered egg and chips. I wasn't allowed to ask for his autograph though.
'When a bloke's gerrin his snap he dunt want to be talking to thee lad' I was told.

Can't remember the shape, but can remember what would be jelly at room temp was a tasty but runny liquid. There was a Davys' shop with tea room above on Haymarket across from the top of Dixon Lane. Nice story about Woody. My mate worked at Davys' bakery and we always had a warm pork pie each before a game.
