Not sure if this is the right forum and i'm definitely not trying to do a shameless holiday plug but Mrs UB has decided that we needed a holiday in the sun before the year is out (we've just had a new kitchen fitted so haven't had our usual holidays this year) so has booked 12 days in PDC at the end of October meaning i'll miss the West Ham away and Burnley home games whilst we're away.

Does anyone know of any Blades bars (or Blades owned bars) over there that are likely to be either showing the game or be prepared to put it on as neither are on Sky so wouldn't be on in most places i would imagine?

I'll be able to watch them anyway via a small river but would prefer to watch them in a bar if possible.

If it helps we're staying in the old town but happy to walk if needs be.

Any sports bar should be able to get the game on for you.

Every PL game is broadcast live abroad so i'm pretty sure you'll be fine if you ask the bar staff nicely.

The bar is called ‘The Dog and Duck’ and is owned by a Blade, loads of shirts etc all over the walls. There’s been a thread on it on here before. He was still the owner when I went about three years ago, its somewhere near the harbour area, there’ll be something on Tripadvisor regarding directions, I’m sure.

September 15 to 27 Soller Mallorca.
October 10 t0 20 Ulan Bator and all points southeast to Beijing.
November 7 to 27 most of northern India
December 9th to 21st Queensland Aus.

All bar recommendations for Blades games live welcome.
Might look to squeeze Alice Springs into the Aus gig so add that.

I specifically wanted to ask if anyone knew any Blades bars as, strangely enough, i'd rather watch with some of my fellow Blades. It's no use just googling which bars have Sky Sports as a) the game isn't on SS and b) they may not have the Blades on even if they're a sports bar.

As you can imagine google brings up loads of options online if you're a fan of one of the glory hunter teams but not so much on the Blades hence why I asked on here but again thanks form your input

I watched the 2013/14 season opener in a bar near the harbour Vilamoura. A few minutes in I realised I wasn't the only Blade in the bar, as I'd been joined by Neil Collins' mum. She was very pleasant but really needed a new set of gnashers. UTB.

DOG AND DUCK, old town, Dave the owner is a BLADE.
There's also a West Ham bar there, lady called Jo, was the manager there, big wet sham fan.
There was also another bar run by a Wigan fan there too, aswell as the pink pussy bar.
As for food, the El Angla and Carera Roja(Red Crab) are very nice for seafood.
I used to have an apartment at Parque Tropical, sold it last year.

Oh, and you don't need transfers, the taxi was only €15 and takes all of 10mins, you can walk to the airport from PDC easy enough, without luggage.

On further inspection it looks like The Dog and Duck is a 2 minute walk from our apartment so happy days. Can see me spending a fair amount of time in there.

I've been before but was 22 years ago on a lads holiday so no doubt its changed a lot but looks like Linekers Bar is still there. Our balcony was on top of their roof last time we went.

Try The Blue Oyster Bar. Just down from Linekers. In fact he is quite often in there himself. If you can’t find it just ask someone.

Soller that's like a German Alpine town with trams running to the station where you can get the narrow gauge electric train to Palma that does a spiral over the hills. I think the Krauts built all the railway and stuff there.

Unfortunately Junior UB is currently doing her GCSEs so term time wasnt an option on this occasion.

As per earlier post I'm not happy to miss 2 games but could do with a near fortnight in the sun so have curtailed my objections around our fixtures this year
