Sorry I posted this twice once in the wrong thread

I am going to Ipswich away as it is one of only a few I have never been to, I wondered if anyone knows of any good pubs there?
Thanks

Ipswichblade has had her two penn'oth HERE

We don't exactly sound spoilt for choice :(

They have a Yates accordin to t'internet. They always seem good for reasonable prices and a good choice of ale. I should get loyalty points from them as I always seem to end up in one at away games!!

I've normally gone to the one across the bridge near the station, will see if i can find the name later on.

Wetherspoons and Yates are in the town centre near the bus station. There is a free bus from the bus station to the football ground and this bus stop is really close to Yates. The street is tower street near the shopping centre.

Not a lot of choice really. Home fans only near the ground apart from the Station Hotel opposite the train station. If you're going in any in the town centre, best have colours covered even though they are a friendly lot down here.

For Yates/Wetherspoons by train:

get the free bus from the station that takes you to the town centre (tower ramparts shopping centre) and Yates is on the left and Wetherspoons straight infront of you OR
walk from the station, follow where the main shops are, look for hmv and across from there is tower ramparts shopping centre. Go into here and up the escalator and come out the other end to the bus station and yates is on your right with Wetherspoons straight across the main road.

I shall be visiting both Yates and Wetherspoons (for cheapness rather than anything else!) at some point on the day. :D
