Protracted transfers

I wonder is this the most protracted transfer incoming for the Blades? I remember a few moons again we had the Ryan Leonard scenario.

Am sure there's been others but this seems to have be going on for yonks.

I mean when it started Harris was in talks with Bill Shankly and Brewster's grandad.
