Do we really think we won’t go up this season? We’ve had our blip!
We can’t start thinking we’re not good enough because it could happen...
Positive posters only need reply.

Let’s see how this similar post compares and how many negative people we have on this forum?

funny thing is if we went on a good run the ammount of posters who would come on here and say we can do it we can make the play offs would be less than in this thread

compare that to the pigs who after every win talk of play offs and you can sort of see the problem with this club

we will not go up unless we get rid of blackwell
See, the funny thing about that comment is we'd need someone to come in and do as good a job as Blackwell did after we got rid of Robson! How ironic!

I think this is part of the problem, we all remember the good football we played in many games between Feb and the end of that season, and we look at the style we play on most occasions now. He clearly can get us to 'play', as demonstrated in part yesterday, people get frustratred that he chooses not to.

That's actually bang on.
We need a new manager to simply have an impact, provide some impetus.
A Blackwell mark II may well not be a bad thing.
What is worrying though is losing and conceding four goals when playing ok. That kind of result spells relegation, not promotion.

I think you have hit the nail squarely on the head there 'Oakland', there were times yesterday when we played some good stuff, but was this brought about by the club realising the fans unrest and posting items about it on forums such as this one.

Here's the thing.

People keep calling for Blackies head after a few defeats saying he won't turn it around. Yet in the past two seasons he's turned it around.

We'll certainly make the play offs and maybe better. Perhaps our dire run with Injuries May push McCabe into spending in January

Get his cheque book out all he wants but good players will choose other clubs above us and play for a manager who appreciates good footballers, not one who turns them into long ball merchants or just berates them from the touchline week after week.

I don't know what you are on Swiss but I wouldn't mind some of it myself:thumbup:

Thanks Dog. you're right. We should just give up eh?

Because afterall, if we improved our squad and got some strength in depth in it would all be pointless. Heaven forbid that we got in players that could play football.

Plus it would give the whingers less to whinge about.

No. We should change. If Blackwell stays we will not go up. If he stays we will be bak to 16k or so next season. I'd prefer that didn't happen.

Swiss, Please quantify 'we'll certainly make the play offs and maybe better'
Are we talking this season ?
We are a side devoid of confidence
Shipping in goals for fun
A threadbare squad that includes six loanees
Our best centreback wants away
We have a terrible injury crisis
Please tell me where in that lot can you conjure up our top six finish!

Let me know what medication you are taking !!!

I think people need to stop acting like we're already fecking relegated, mark my words, we'll be on top after crimbo, that's my prediction.

Not at the top of the table, but on top of this bad run of loss' we're having currently.

Promotion is certainly still a possibility. Until mathematically we can't possibly get promoted there is always hope. Admittedly it might be along the same lines of hoping for a lottery win, or a shag with Jennifer Aniston, but there's always hope.

Fiery, its an opinion. I do find it hilarious that anyone that doesn't subscribe to your depressed theory that we're all doomed is deemed to require medication.

The main basis for my opinion is from the fact that Blackie has turned it around before on two separate occasions. Of course this season could be completely different. But we'll see.

Of course your arguments listed above would suggest that we have no chance, but this is all based on the last 4 or 5 games only. But its pleasing to see that all the arguements listed are rectifiable.

Once we start getting players back fit (and I mean fullly fit) then we'll start picking up the season again.

We're a few points off the play offs and I don't believe that the teams between us and 6th are better than us over the season.

Please enlighten me to enable me to enter your world of Milk and Honey - I only have experience of the real world and down here things look pretty sh!t as far as the fortunes of SUFC are currently focussed on!
Tell me your secret or is it all a wind up!

pessimistic feckers are banned from my world.

You only have experience of the real world? I severly doubt that:D

it's reasonable to expect a team with so many new players will take time to gel. Camara looks like a great improvement on Evans. Wins against newcastle and Barnsley, wardy back and all this will seem like a bad dream. Look outside BL and see how all the supposed top teams keep screwing up against scunthorpe and all. Start believing and get behind your team. Emirates and old trafford next season.

Mr McCawber used to come out with drivel like that!

Sorry mate this Is for positive postings and in response to all the negativity created by others.
Please reply to the posting 'Relegation a possibility?'

Just a quick question,

What if the recent run is not a blip?

What if Sheffield United become the next Charlton Athletic, Leeds United or Norwich City?
