Just seen that the Rail strikes on 15/16th September have been postponed, so rail travel should now be possible to this fixture
Don't be surprised if all sport is postponed until after the funeral

Next weeks fixtures almost certainly will be postponed, might be too late in the day for tomorrows games

But the strikes were scheduled for the 15th and 17th (the actual day of the match).

The chairman of the DCMS was interviewed this morning and the government recommendation was that the fixtures this weekend should be cancelled and any on the day of the funeral so perhaps next weeks fixtures may go ahead.

EFL announcement is that fixtures 9-10 October are postponed.
So that would indicate it's on.

This is about compromise.

The football league prefer not to postpone.
A full 9 days of mourning = 3 postponed matches per team including the logistic more difficult to rearrange European matches.

Pretty sure it will be this weekend only.
It shows a level of respect but doesn’t knacker the schedule.

If the rail unions have canceled strikes, they've done this for a reason, not only out of respect for the queen but to allow people from all over the uk to travel to a funeral, if the funeral coincides with fixtures then those fixtures will certainly be canceled

The funeral will be on Monday 19th in all likelihood, so I wouldn't expect any further postponements to take place.

It's also cost fans up and down the country a lot of wasted money on rail tickets, and probably some on hotel bookings!!
