If the rail unions have canceled strikes, they've done this for a reason, not only out of respect for the queen but to allow people from all over the uk to travel to a funeral, if the funeral coincides with fixtures then thofixtures will certainly be canceled
It's also cost fans up and down the country a lot of wasted money on rail tickets, and probably some on hotel bookings!!This is about compromise.
The football league prefer not to postpone.
A full 9 days of mourning = 3 postponed matches per team including the logistic more difficult to rearrange European matches.
Pretty sure it will be this weekend only.
It shows a level of respect but doesn’t knacker the schedule.
