Why do this???

Pressure??

All fookin cheats.

Is it a coincidence that the Premier League was scheduled to announce the fixtures for the 2007/2008 season on June 21st, but has now moved the date back to June 14th?

Could it be because the arbitration hearing between Sheffield United and the Premier League is scheduled for June 18 and 19?

More in the pot.....

LORD Stevens and his Quest investigation team delivered a damning dossier to the Premier League in the last 48 hours.

They highlighted 17 transfers involving eight agents working for six different clubs which they believe reveal serious breaches in rules. The PL are now under intense pressure to take action and show they intend to clean up the game.

Indeed, Stevens and his men have called for the PL to refer their findings to the Director of Public Prosecutions because they believe criminal offences may have been committed.

A Quest insider said last night: "The evidence alone shows extremely serious rule breaches.

"We are also concerned that recommendations were put forward to scrutinise future transfers and are unaware if those have been implemented." The PL are expected to scrutinise the report over the next two weeks and have vowed to take the action necessary to rid the game of corruption.

A League spokesman said last night: "We have now received a final report. We must take time to go through it and decide what course of action should be taken."

The final dossier was submitted on Friday. An interim report had been sent in 12 days ago but the PL were forced to put the issues on hold while they dealt with the continuing fall-out from West Ham's signings of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.

The fine of £5.5 million handed out to the Hammers was a world record. But that figure could be dwarfed if the Quest findings prove to be correct.

The Premiership has lost all credibilty.

Full of cheats!

Sad but true!

the refereeing isnt all that great too. not giving penaltys at the big 4 clubs etc. the PL is all strings attatched, full of cheats.

Just take a dep breath and cool out, if we have a case it will happen. If we don't then enjoy the Championship.

Like i have said before, havent really read into this much and i must admit i don;t know very much about the case etc.

But, come on?

It seem's a little much. Ok, it may have been unfair Tevez played, and he nearly single handedly kept them up, but at the end of the day, they won games and you didn't, and that is the Major point. You just wsn't good enough.

Like i have said, i am not sticking upfor West Ham, because to be fair, no matter how much we are rivals, it's always nice to see a local team in the top flight and flyin the flag for us, specially now all the teams (except us of course) seem to be really poo, and mainly on a downward spiral.

But i, and a lot of other fans up and down the country, even some of your own, seem to think appealing was too far, and you was never going to get anything, which more than likely will be the case

Of course, i am going to get destroyed for this, as if i was a United fan and you were all Wednesday, i would have the exact same opinion as you, and of course because its your club, you are going to have a different opinion, but i just think no matter who was on the appeal or board or bla bla what ever it is, you was never really going to get anywhere.

Lots of Love DJ :D

In many ways I agree DJ, but United are clinging on to the hope of staying in the prem. Perhaps we may not win our case, but I definately feel an injustice was done with WHU, and thus an appeal should be lodged REGARDLESS whether we regain our premiership place.

The statement McCabe has come out with in the last 48 hours though does look promising, but I still can't see us being re-instated.

If you are bothered....

i say we just go down london and burn there headquaters my self then march onto upton park to burn that fucker down aswell

youve just said that tevez shouldnt have been playing and mainly won them points to keep them up but its our fault that we didnt get enough points?

so its o.k for teams to cheat and stay up but team who foollow the rules cant?

If sheffield United personally dont benefit from this court i wont be going mental. We should press with this as, what i want is for boundarys to be set so if it does happen again other clubs wont be in the same boat as us.

and i agree to a certain extent with the people who say we were 10 points clear and we didnt stay up. BUT on the flip side, we were playing against the odds shall we say, west ham given a goal that didnt cross the line. i stonewall penalty with contact which wasnt given. a penalty against us with no contact was given costing points amongst things.

Just hope scudamore is outed and a rule is set for a 6 point deduction for any team in the future that breaches the rules.

I agree with a few of your comments DJ!

but your club and most others would probably do the same maybe not the fans but the majority of clubs would!

And i agree with keenzy he shouldnt have been playing it was cheating, its to fight injustice in the future as well as our own!
but 10 points clear the run at that point was quite a hard run and we got 1 point in 5 which impressed me from most of the teams we played in the period!

but i agree nothing will be done the premier league dont care they dont want to look daft do they
