Accept that Mike Dean is a footy fan, loyal to his club, but does anybody else notice that in the semis and the play off final he has miraculously got from his terrace position / seat to a position where the cameras can easily pick up his passionate celebrations ? Attention seeking nobber who may cause us some problems next year ?

I don’t really care to be honest.

To be fair to Mike Dean, he just went over to the stairs.

And to be even fairer, if you're one of the camera operators at the league two playoff final and you're tasked with filming the crowd, you'd immediately find out if there were any celebrities attending.
Celebrity??? Phook me I don't think so. What's to celebrate?

He shouldn't be, but that's football now. The only referees I knew when I was growing up were Pierluigi Collina because he was on the cover of Pro Evo and was weird looking, and Uriah Rennie because he's from Sheffield.

Now though referees are as well known as the players, it's infamy rather than fame I suppose.

So it seems.

Causes me to wonder if they should have League tables for the officials.

Mind you we'd need decisive ex footballers and perhaps an ex ref or two to score their performances, rather than the antiquated narrow thinkers that appear to think they are capable of making rational decisions about a sport they have never played.

I was too young to appreciate him but Roger Milford was a favourite of my dads. I trust his judgement as he was an ex referee himself!
