This would elevate Sunjihi back up to ITK status. Not been great on transfer news before, but impressive on fixtures and injuries.

To be fair 100% "in the know" transfer news can easily backfire.

I remember Warnock being interviewed about 15 year ago.
He was saying that he has some amazing stories regards prospective signings and their agents.

Warnock said he's shaken hands on deals and the player has agreed to come.
Then the following day a medical is arranged and the contracts are drawn up. Then he'll read in the newspaper that the same player has just signed for another club, they didn't have the decency to phone him to let him know they're joining other club.

So Warnock was explaining he always has target A, target B and target C
and even when a player tells him he's agreed to join Sheff United.....he still doesn't accept it as happening until all the contracts have been signed.

Chris Wilder was interviewed a few year ago and he was pulling faces explaining that player transfers when dealing with agents can be a total nightmare.
There was the famous Jerome Sinclair signing where the agent had verbally agreed everything.
Sinclair was on his way to Bramall Lane but then the agent wanted an additional signing on fee.
United could have simply paid....but Wilder called the agents bluff and refused....explaining that a deal had been verbally agreed.
In the end Sinclair didn't come and his career seems to have stalled since, for him it's a case of what might have been.

A striker who can't/won't score. Even worse strike rate than McBurnie and Burke! I grant you that he seems impossible to get off the ball but zero end product. Remain to be convinced. Getting out of the championship you need to score a lot of goals and he won't help us in that regards. A huge gamble for me.
We had McGoldrick doing just that but it was fine with what else he offered. Be good to replace him with Davis.

Thought Keinan Davis looked woeful for Villa in the Premier League. Against us, and seemingly against other Champ clubs too last season, he caused no end of problems.

I didn’t watch closely enough to establish the extent to which it was player growth or the extent to which it was poor competition, but either way he’s a decent age, looks like he could be a good strike partner for our smaller lads like Brewster and still has the potential to find himself a bit more if he ever plays Prem again.
The Hawkeye game felt he was causing us problems too, in the prem

I will respond more fully as this develops but if he signs for you I am telling you now, I'm backing you to go up

Also, Davis is very much the sort of player who gets you out your seat, has the complete package at champ level and works hard. Only question is over stamina.

Think villa are screwing him over a bit personally loaning him all the time
I’m backing us to go up regardless! Never been so confident… it’s a weird feeling!

Don’t want to be pedantic but McGoldrick has a far better goal scoring record than Davis in both the premiership and the championship, and no doubt with assists also. If you were looking at Davis through his stats you would be extremely worried he is not a goal scorer. I will be honest and say I’ve only ever saw him against us and have to admit he looked a beast of player, be good to get him in but he has to start scoring or would quickly be on the bench.

Villa supporting relatives say he has tremendous potential but he's a sick note. He's missed 37 games in the last 3 seasons due to injury. He is definitely the type of player we need but if he's going to be out injured for half a season we may be better spending the loan money on someone who is going to be capable of playing 40 games a season. Something Davis has got nowhere near in his 6 seasons of football to date. A rigorous medical will be required if we're going to sign him.

I watched a fair bit of him due to having Forest family he’d be a great addition pal

Agree that it’d be good to get him scoring

I think we have a situation with villa like the lowe one. Ultimately the price quotes is too high (partly because he has missed a few games) so we have moved on.

Anyone questioning his goal record will take about 60 mins of seeing kd running at shit scared defenders and realise what he brings to the team.

He isn't a lump of a target man. What impressed me most is his ability to control quickly turn and find a high quality pass forwards

That and winning the ball I his own half and dragging the team forward to the edge of the box with about 4 defenders clinging on to hi ankles.

That is to say I like him

Sinclair was/is,useless as a footballer at any half decent level.

He is exactly the type of player we need. I'm not too bothered about his stats. We have zero physical presence up front. Billy would thrive with him alongside.
McB brought a physical presence but zero else so that does not always work with a big physical forward. Thankfully Davis looks like the original Ronaldo compared to McB, Davis and Brewster would scare defenders to death and could be the partnership to tear teams apart. And you right Sharp would also feed off all Davis hard work in and around the box given the chance.

Forest fan at work reckons they think £15m is too expensive as they’re not sure he can make the step up to the PL. Similar situation to Max Lowe by the sounds of it. They’ve also spent big money on the striker from Union Berlin.
Makes complete sense tbf

Davis looked great last season. Seriously surprised and impressed if we get him. Thought Forest would invest, even if he wasn't their first choice striker.

No but it seemed quite heavily implied and likely

I'm hopeful we will be in for him anyway if looking for wingers

Ask any defender if they like playing against him, he’s everything we’ve not had in years a presence up front. Will bag 20 plus if we keep hold of Berge.

This is the problem with him. When fit and match fit, he's can be a great player and almost unplayable. This doesn't happen 50% of games.

Still. Heck of a player to have on board for those occasions.
