How many of our lads could hold their own amongst the elite?

Coutts - elegant footballer

Fleck - improving at Usain Bolt speed

JOC - see Fleck

Anymore?

Let's see how they do in the championship first, don't wanna get carried away.

But you've got to look at Bournemouth - likes of Simon Francis, Marc Pugh and Charlie Daniels came all the way up with them. No reason why Fleck, JOC, Coutts and a couple more couldn't.

Skipped nothing, I always think ahead - can't be arsed with this one game at a time cautious shit. Life's short.

Nope, already planning for the champions league.

When Messi can't get out of JOC's pocket all game, and Neymar is sent off for nutting Basham for just being better than him?

I'm all in favour of a couple of Saturday evening beers, but this is taking it a step too far surely? :D

Champions League? Pfft.. no ambition.

I can only think ahead to the World Club Cup final vs Corinthians.

Well - I was a fan of Harry Maguire when he first played for us, then he started a new season overweight and well off the pace - ball watching and looking around for others to blame. Then he got fit again and looked the real deal, and off to Hull he went. Now I've watched him again and he's back in no-man's land, ball-watching, failing to mark anyone, not picking up player movement, looking bemused as they concede another goal with loads of Hull defenders in the box doing sod-all.
I say again - give me JOC rather than MG!!!
Maguire won't be a Prem player next season - unless someone picks him up and gives him a personal trainer/coach with his new team.

Well I for one would not complain if he resigned for us next season.
Can't see it mind, not if we have a good sell on fee anyway......;)

Interesting Swansea v Everton last night 4 ex Blades holding their own in PL

Calvert Lewin - no where near as good as Sir Billy
Naughton - Steady, but I'd pick Freeman ahead of him
Jags - PL quality, always was
Britton - Wouldn't get picked ahead of Fleck if it was my shout

Yet they've all stepped up - why can't the best of our present crop?

When the fixture list comes out I always get worried if we are playing a newly promoted team. They have momentum and a habit of winning (ok there are exceptions like Doncaster on a losing run) and I think that's how we will start next season. Even though there's a lot of cash clubs coming down and several still on parachute payments the Championship is a bit depleted next season. I'm not getting carried away but in my head I have likened our success this season to another club who were bottom of L3 after a few games then won it and went up to PL. Bournemouth!
