So, always a bit of a downer when the last ball is kicked for your team.

Still all is not lost, there are always things to look forward to. Appreciate if anyone can help with the dates (some not possible to define), in no particular order:

1. Official retained list ✅
2. New kit launch. Sometimes before the last game and showcased at the last game but not this time. Maybe the Errea non-kit wear doesn't rock as well as your Adidas or Nike but as far as kit, I'm interested to see what they can do rather than what PSV/Athletico etc had on another occasion.
3. Pre-season friendlies announced. Possiblity for some to get an early fix. Hopefully this time it won't be such a shambles.
4. Championship Fixtures. Weird to say "not long now" but the season has to kick off before the end of July so there'll be no huge delay. The short turnaround may benefit us as we kind of have some momentum from this season and a good core to tweak rather than wholesale change.
5. That first signing. We all start to guess how the incoming world beater will gel with the rest of the Bramall Lane Galacticos.
6. That first sale. He was overrated anyway, wasn't he? We'll be better off long term. He didn't really fit with the way the squad is going anyway, did he? It's good money, he wasn't worth that! Etc
7. The likely takeover rumours. Is it today Dad?
8. The obsession over how many season tickets we've sold. Why don't they just load up a running total on the home page? It might even encourage more sales.
9. The run down of the runners and riders. Once a number of the deals are done and teams take shape the seasonal downplaying of your rivals' signings whilst expecting peak Maldini/Ibra/Ronaldo/Messi from your own new arrivals.
10. The annual Wednesday embarassing pre-season defeat. Aka memories of Alfreton.

I'm sure there's more. We've got this. Let's look forward to a season where we smash it!

Like the idea of a running total of season ticket sales.

We also have the annual wonder of 'where's money gone' followed by the sudden realisation that we don't have any.

Looking forward to seeing all your buddies for a Saturday 3 hour pub session pre match followed by a 3 hour session after. Then find we're pencilled in for the lunchtime kick off on Sunday......

Must be only about 7 or 8 weeks until pre-season friendlies start

Fuck me that's depressed the shit out of me.
Probably time to depart from here for a few weeks now, save my sanity!

So if we are quoting Burnley as something to be careful of and Manchester City as something to love to have I'll take something in the middle as far as takeovers are concerned, Leicester?

To be honest I think this pre-season there could be more interest on the departure front.
1 Where’s MGW going to end up, Wolves, back with us or abroad ?.
2 How much will we get for Sander Berge? ( Ah much, which 2hat agreed that price). £12 mill.
3 Is Mcburnie still here, not even a sniff for a loan spell.
4 Bid come in from West Ham Ndiaye £5million, we want more the robbing cockney gits, goes for £7 mill.
5 Bugger , last minute £6 million offer for Egan, sold to Everton day before season starts.
6 Ollie Burke, no offers starts every pre-season friendly, plays crap.
7 JOC announces retirement from Pro football.
8 Just announced Brewster needs another Operation. Out for 7 to 8 month.
9 On first signing Hecky says “ We still have irons in the fire and hoping to get 1 or 2 in before our tenth game of the season”.
10 Kit FxxxxxG Awful.

Is there a break for the Qatar World Cup? If so, won't the season start earlier than usual?

Does the season finish a bit later too, as we miss a month? Are we likely to get more midweek games?

Season pauses from 12 November - 10 December. Regular season finishes 6 May.
So we must be having more midweek games then? Season finishes the same weekend it normally would.

Still going to be the September and March ones. Is there usually any others?
Think there's usually about four aren't there? Just look when all our defeats were under Wilder as we always lost after the international break.

Carlsberg pre season 👍 if number 1 re-signs

This year I've promised myself that I'm not going to look at the rumour mill board. Wonder how long I'll last.

..that’s because “it’s all gone” !
