Two things that Speed did differently yesterday that I thought were very good.

a) we practiced passing and interplay for a solid 5 to 10 minutes with a nifty little routine.
b) while he went with the same back four warmup as Blackwell, he made them move forwards and backwards while passing and heading the ball.

In terms of the latter, Simmo had finished his warmup by then, so it would have been nice for him to stand behind them on the byline to improve communication with his defenders.

Who is running the warmup hopefully the coach, the manager should have more pressing things on his mind.

Both Carver and Speed were involved.

No problem with that to be honest. There's nothing else for Speed to do at that point apart from get into a suit if needs be.

Wouldn't have invited you anyway.

I like you rednation.

I'm trying to find out about that dril on the sites I visit for drills and small sided games, not sure if it appears in level 2 and above.

Why would the gaffer have more pressing things on his mind? Surely the most pressing thing is the physical and mental state of his players in the build up to KO? He shouldnt be sat in the dressing room pondering the match because that is his job during the week. A good manager should be able to lift the lads before the KO so that they can carry it through to the match
