Roy's View From... Pre-Match View Front Leeds

I could have written their view from. Usual arrogant comments. They’re bigger than those pigs ya know. I am sure they will smash the PL next season as they are guaranteed to go up obviously. COYRAWW let’s do these tossers!!!

I think I remember the season as 1990, but lets just sing 'Run at home' like we did at Bellend Road! lol

Odd fanbase. Similar to the pigs in their incestuous wanking off over the size of their own club and arrogance. But given their record of bottling it, its genuinely surprising more are not exercising a degree of caution at this stage. Insufferable.

I dunno, when we came up to the Champ in 2016 pigs were utter cunts. Since then not heard a peep for obvious reasons. Though this Leeds lot are coming close to that.
Pigs were pretty cocky start of this season
Did try and urge them to keep their powder dry until they had actually achieved what they were expecting but you know pigs do pig things

Burnley 5-2
Well ish but only a 3 goal margin and you could argue there wasnt really a third team around. At the mo if we lose to the 'scum' then we have quite a tricky run and I could see Burnley overtake us tbh. I think tomorrow night is very important and a loss could be quite disastrous for us. Hope to god Hamer is playing.

What a set of arrogant pricks. Would absolutely love us to shithouse a 1-0 win to see their meltdowns after.
Then we'll have just been lucky
I'd prefer a 4-0 battering, but that's obviously not going to happen

If it's 1-0 that'll do, but if so, I hope it's a 95th minute winner rather than scoring in the first minute and ending up with emergency services having to treat about 10,000 heart attacks during the game

Just pin this on the dressing room wall Chris!

Arrogant beyond belief, Roygbiv obviously forgot to paste the balanced views 😁. They are a good side and could win tomorrow but they seem to overlook the fact that actually on paper other than GD they are not better than us.

In the words of Kev, I'd absolutely love it if we beat those. I live in East Yorkshire, where I am surrounded by plastic Leeds fans and would love to be able to shove it back down their throats.

Here's hoping that at 10pm tomorrow night The Lane is rocking to "Don't go out tonight unless you're red and white"!

Reinforces everything we already know.

"They are the champions, champions of Europe"

Fuck knows how we've won the same points as them this season, or why we should bother to turn up on Monday.
Many years ago when I was in the RAF, a good mate was, probably still is, a big Leeds fan. So a few of us went to an FA cup match against Scunthorpe, in scunny. Anyway, Leeds scored and the weeds fans started singing "champions, champions, champions of Europe". To which another good friend whispered in my ear " I dont think scoring against Scunthorpe in the FA cup makes you champions of Europe". Leeds were in the old 2nd division at the time and scunny the fourth. I think Botham may have played in that game also. Delusional even back then. Weeds not Botham

They’re right to be confident, but they’re not significantly better than us. The difference in our approaches has been to be defensively solid and make the opposition work, whereas Leeds go all out attack, leaving teams to chase and thus exposing them more.

If we play our best team and to OUR strengths, we will win. Leeds don’t like having to think of a plan B without the comfort of a 2-3 goal cushion.

If we set up any other way, to contain or counter, we will lose. We can’t invite pressure, but we are composed and mentally capable of getting a result.

Fortune favours the brave.

Who dares wins , etc.

Much riding on CW's mindset tonight.

After the Pompey performance , my hopes weren't high for Boro.

But CW and the players actually went for it and we all enjoyed their reward in terms of the performance.

After the Luton selections , shape & performance , especially first half , surely CW can't repeat his admitted
"fear of the Leeds frontline" choices at Elland Road ?

They have too much quality for us to expect anything but defeat if we sit back and try to contain for 90 mins.

We have to at least try to impose ourselves and give them something to worry about.

As CW says , we need to give ourselves the opportunity to win the game.

Win lose or draw , I'd hate to come away feeling that we chose to miss that opportunity.

Can't dispute much of what Leeds fans say - but my God it would feel nice to ram it back down their throats. I hope we give it a 'right good go' - no overthinking from Chris- an attacking intent - but for certain best 11 players to start.

Cheers Panchero!

I think you're right. Once the team is announced, and we see our set-up, after five minutes, we will know. If we're beaten but have a sensible go, on the front, then fair enough. They are the better team, so if they beat us fair and square, fair enough. What I don't want is to lose with an insipid and characterless performance.

The only problem is, if we lose with the former approach i.e. a positive one, that will be justification to revert to the tried & tested for the run in. As it stands I can't see Leeds or Burnley losing many between now and the end of the season, so this is the big one, as we all know.

As an aside, a mackem friend of mine was in the home end there last week. He said the crowd made a big difference second half, and he felt the Sunderland players wilted. We need to do something similar tonight, another reason why front front is the way to go.

Whatever happens tonight I think the real "big one" will be on Easter Monday at Turf Moor, assuming that everything else stays pretty much on track for all three teams.

Everyone is saying their comments are arrogant - I think they are accurate.

“Blunts have been outplayed by 2 teams at the bottom in consecutive games and have won only because the opposition can’t score. Imagine what will happen playing Leeds and trying to win like that? We’ve got this.”

This hits the nail on the head. Unfortunately I am expecting us to have our pants pulled down tonight and Bogle bash our balls about like he is on a speed bag.

Not comments, they may or may not be true.

They as a collective are arrogant, always have been, always will be. Brian Clough was bang right about them
