Don't worry all these new fans they've got will start to become the make up of their main fanbase. And they will not be bothered.

Can see their original core starting to get pee'd off with it if they start to struggle to get tickets.

Suppose it depends on if they have decent loyalty systems in place.
they are the only league club in North Wales could pull in rhyll fflint llangollen and former chester fans and down to oswestry
thats why they were a more attractive club than wednesday for investors. too many options near us

The attractivness of Wrexham in the premier league must not be understated.

most airports now have a Xrexham shirt in the sports shop, this is not by accident as American tourists are collecting them when they visit the uk..

America, is still virtually an untapped market for british football, yes there are far more followers than there used to be, but having an American team like wrexham in the premier league would show a huge increase in popularity accross the pond...

Can Sky sports let them lose the playoffs should they get there?

We lost to a shocking VAR and to a team who also had a Netflix documentary - thier journey needed a fairytale....

Anybody else think Wrexham's story might follow the same lines...

£100 on them should they make the top 6..

The really irritating thing is even if they don’t go up this year they are going to almost certainly be an established Premier League Club within 5 years…
not really , big leap from play off threateners to prem regulars, massive leap i wage structures and player ransfer fees

The massive sponsorship and merch money they are raking in means they can avoid any PSR limitations.. it’s inevitable

It would be such a tiny percentage of their revenue that they would have no need to raise it.

Exactly.

They're sponsored by United Airlines and Facebook (Meta)... filling a 12K seater stadium isn't going to have much affect on their incomings

They announced a £27m turnover last March - as a Leaue 1 club.
Interestingly (annoyingly), over 50% of the turnover was from the USA

“Dear Sheffield Wednesday (1990):

Hi. Just a note from my Beverly Hills mansion to say I’m still thinking of you, and hope some day you get your club sorted and back among the elite of Europe like you so richly deserve. You’ve had a dismal season both on and off the pitch and I can't imagine the grief and heartbreak you've suffered by being relegated by those pesky Blades last month. The only comfort I can offer is that that fat lad from Sheffield didn't score the goal that finished you off. We hate Billy Sharp in Wrexham.

I'm currently working on my new blockbuster movie but I know times are hard in South Barnsley. However, I’m hoping you can do us a favour and dig deep to earn at least a draw Vs Hull on Saturday. I hear you're taking 3,000 fans to the game.

I hate to bring it up, but remember how Wrexham finally came good after we pumped millions into the club? I can only pray you eventually get the billionaire that both you and that Wiggy fella crave. You may recall we let you guys bring in the banner and sold our extra gold shirts for your supporters group? I get it’s a lot to ask but if you could somehow swing it we’d call it square.

All the best and Dig deep
. Love from Ryan Reynolds”

Fixed ;)

Pathetic attempt today Royston!

Could have been a double-pager of comments that. There's a clear lack of Yanks in the comments

What absolute bollocks.

Thanks Roy,

Disappointment lack of bitterness towards us. We might not have much to play for, but hopefully by Saturday evening we've ruined their play-off hopes.

yes thought they were very tame expected more Welsh Dragon.

they still have 1 side with no proper stand dont they too ?!

Love it when any fanbase 'aligns' themselves with the rivals of whichever club their are facing. Just tells me that you aren't a serious club.

Exactly this imo

I’ve stopped going as much to BDTBL (ST holder) due to the new generation of fans . They have , mostly , arses the size of gable ends , lips that could unblock toilets , stomaches that hang over their pyjamas and bounce from knee to knee (look like pyjamas to me ) , eye lashes that change the wind velocity and direction , and a diet that has a foundation of lard and more lard with extra lard .

Don’t get me started on the lasses

Their popularity in the US is based solely on a tv show. Give it a couple of years and all of those people will have moved on to the next craze. As will United Airlines, Facebook, and whoever else currently sees them as a good advertising opportunity. Their model is massively vulnerable to the changing whims of a casual audience.

Theye massively increased their wage bill and commited a skip full of cash ti ground improvements..sunderland spent nearly 200m on players

Which is fucking irrelevant to the point. Doubling their season ticket prices would barely raise five million in additional revenue. In a league where finishing bottom will net you more than one hundred million in additional revenue compared to the Championship, five million is absolutely fuck all. So why would they annoy their fanbase again? To eke out half a Tom Cannon's worth of money?

When was the last time we really stuck it to some arrogant fans* by comfortably beating them? Feels like we haven’t done that at all this season!

*discounting Wednesday, as that’s just par for the course
