It would be good if our 'prematch view' linked to their prematch view and theirs linked to ours and we created some kind of times-pace continuum feedback loop. I'd love to see that.

“cancel everything Sheffield invasion coming up”

“Facebook page suggests 1,500 sold as at last night”

Which one is it then, an invasion or less than 2000 coming up ? lol...

1,500 is an excellent away following for a non-league club. It's a lot more than most league 1 clubs bring to the lane.

Exactly my thoughts.

They don't have their own stadium (share with Kidderminster).
They're in the 6th tier of football.
With their geographical location have to compete with Kidderminster, Cheltenham and all the Birmingham clubs for fans.

I would guess there are more Birmingham/Villa fans in Worcester than Worcester fans.

Good idea. If only there was someone "working" in the office until 2pm/4pm/7pm every day lads to pull it all together?

That's a very good following for a non-league club.

United should get together with Worcester and give the fan who was here in 1959 the VIP treatment.

The game in 1959 was at Worcester, and was their record crowd. Given that they no longer have a ground, that record might stand for a while yet.

I'm a bit baffled by the fan who managed to get to Gateshead via the M1, M18, A1M and M25.

I can only think he lives in the South East, which is why he wanted a south east draw, but his solution of driving from there to Worcester to get the coach and avoid the road works seems a bit like the sledgehammer solution to a nut cracking problem :-)

Huge game for Adkins and the future of the club, lose it and a panicking board could pull the trigger on him, which in my opinion would be a huge error in our long term future.

I thought the same. My thought was: just take the train to Sheffield.

Our official twitter feed was reporting 1,900 sold earlier this evening. That might suggest we might scrape upwards towards 2,500 on the day, which would be about what we ended up with at Scunny last year. Not bad going for a team in the bottom three in our league and not exactly scoring a hatful.

I'd like to think we might get a result, but I have to be realistic and think that it would be a 1 in 20 chance. Last year we were really on the up when we went to Coventry and I was secretly confident that we might pull off a shock - which was bourne out by us playing really well, with genuine real pace, perfect to exploit the lazy league one team we met on the day. Can't say that we are showing anything like that form this year and have two crucial players missing, althought we should be pretty organised and hopefully tough to break down. If we are still in with a punt at half time, that would make a very enjoyable day out.

Ah sod it, it will be enjoyable whatever - as long as we don't get absolutely humped!

Can't see your lot being "humped" - we're nowhere near that clinical.
Most of our possession takes place inside our own half between the centre backs and the full backs.
As long as you track back and keep your shape we'll give you plenty of time to get back in position to defend.
If the area is packed we wont have the guile to break it down unless Jose Baxter picks out a top corner with a long ranger.
It'll be a backs to the wall job, for sure, but if you keep us out for a good 30 mins or so and last till half time then you'll have a chance to nick one and defend the bejesus out of it whilst we huff and puff and fritter away time passing back and forth to get nowhere in particular.

“It’s a great draw, and their fan numbers will really help our bank balance along “

Why? It certainly hasn't helped ours.
