If you went up (a big IF I know) do you think you will not get stuffed 5 or 6 or even 8-0 some weeks?

Cov have been out the top division so long that you don't realise there's a gulf that is unreal between the 2 divisions, I mean it's spending 500m in August or you have no chance of survival.. it's that big a step up in quality that most "has been" clubs like you and sheff weds try to poke fun whilst constantly coming up short every year in this "piss poor" division, as you both call it.

BTW -Laughing at us and moaning about parachute payments at the same time is a beautiful thing.

“Enjoy getting battered next season” is possibly the most childish response to a defeat there is. The equivalent of seeing your mate pull a stunner who earlier rejected you and claiming “well, she’s a dog anyway”.

No idea but I'm certain you'd do the same, if not far worse if your club was dying.

Whistles and pitch invasions were tame considering what happen, what was happening and what happens in the years after.

I think you would have reacted how our fans did too what you need to remember is we were pushing for promotion after years of being stuck in the division and being stuck ij that league any longer could have financially crippled us so there was a lot riding on it hence why our fans were angry because we thought we were gonna end up copping fpr something that wasn't our fault amd potentially derail our season.

I've actually made peace with the fuck up of a league we call the Prem. It's so widely recognised that now the MO is basically 3 up, same 3 back down because they simply can't compete without the cash. Once every so often you'll get the anomaly of a breakaway side but essentially everyone knows you're going up, getting a battering and coming back down to be something of a big fish in the championship pond.

It's not particularly because we're in and out right now but surely something must be done with the Prem to make it more competitive. In modern football how does a club like Luton go from winning promotion, fighting in the Prem and to their credit giving it a decent go only to come down and now struggling to survive in the championship.

I don't know all the ins and outs of modern football business of course but something about footy these days just seems, I don't know... Off. I can't quite put my finger on it.
