Pre-Match View From Wolves

Their newly found attitude comes from a lifetime of being overshadowed by Villa, Birmingham City, West Brom and until very recently Coventry. Even Walsall have given them a good run for the money.

To live in the shade of such shite holes as these really gives a perspective into the mind set of a Wolverhampton citizen.

Poor bastards.

Likewise, good luck for the rest of the season. Wilder has done an amazing job so far and fully deserves all the credit that he gets. Evans is a good buy and I wish him well.

As for tomorrow, we are also set up as a much better team away from home than at Molineux. Our strength lies at the back with the 3 centre backs and with the pace we have on the break upfront. If you can cut off the supply lines to Jota and Bonatini then you can make us look a pretty ordinary team at home as Sunderland and Forest both did recently. If you leave gaps at the back, particularly when you have possession, then that's when we are dangerous. Either way we'll see. Whatever happens though, nothing will be decided tomorrow and we both have 50 points or so still to play for.
I thought you played for West Brom?

quite enjoyed that. i prefer the familiar feeling of opposition fans despising us than rating us. as for the game, can't see us beating them but won't be a piss in the park for em.

Wolves. They’ll get up there with the Chinese bankroll and drop back down when it goes tits up.

Always brought good Away support to the Lane. Abiding memory is them all tramping around in those knee length Goodyear old and black coats.

I’m just a bit ‘meh’ about them. More needle between us and Albion because of BOBL & Megson and Birmingham because of off the field antics in the 90s and 00s. Always liked Villa and don’t mind Walsall. Wolves I’m not all that arsed. It’s hardly a cup final as one of them mentioned.

UTB
Wonder when their kit gets changed to Gold and Red by the Chinese owners.

That is the biggest load of Bollox I've ever heard from a set of opposing fans who clearly know fuck all about us but claim to know some of us so that they can spout their shit. Their fans have always been just like the deluded across our city despite never being any bigger than many of the other clubs in the Championship. I really hate those Black Country tossers and hope their over spending goes tits up and they go bust.

And just in case any of them are reading this, the following from me is as believable as the shit you lot spout.......
I live just outside Wolverhampton and have a few Wolves fan mates (although most in the Black Country support Walsall) and they are worried about the hiccups they've had recently and are starting to question whether they are actually spending enough to stay in the Play Offs. They've only got the biggest budget in the Division by about 5000% but don't think the owners are committed because they have only got Dikko on loan rather than buying him. And someone on their website has said "we are the best footballing side in the division" but unbelievably they weren't actually speaking about us, they meant Wolves - fookin idiot.

Make a cup of tea and have a little sit down.

They may be in the money, but they'll always have that whiney turgid hofficic accent, Wolverhampton is the most miserable depressing place, even worse than ULL, no Billionares gonna change that.

Good lord !!! :eek::eek:o_O I don't believe what I'm reading

Planning for the Champions League already ........ who does this remind me of ;)

Our arrogant, deluded neighbours from South Barnsley have had those plans in place for 3 years ........ and the open top bus parade has been cancelled 3 times. :D:):)

Somebody needs to get this arrogant bunch from the midlands to sit down and eat a little bit of humble pie ....... they need to realise that THEY are NOT and never will be MASSIVE ........ there is only one MASSIVE team and we know who they are o_O

...... because they're always telling everybody how MASSIVE they are :tumbleweed:

UTB & FTP

They're top of the league with points to spare. If you can't give it large then, when can you? We expected to batter every side last season, because generally we did. They're having a season like we did. Can't blame them for getting excited. How many posts were there on here after ten games saying 'we're going up again, I've got a feeling'?

And we were near the top of the league when we gave it large but that's not allowed

Double standards

Sorry but humility applies to everyone, unless your Wolves fans of course

Deluded twats. 10 or 11 the result would have always been the same. They had the ball for 5mins due to kicking off, we won it back and it was game over.

The more confident they are the better. Get em by the throat and shake em like a mad dog. Never let them settle knock the confidence right out of their golden glow

Got to say I thought that long rant was really funny and pretty much spot on! We do love an excuse, but only because we love this squad and this manager and therefore will blindly argue against it being their fault whenever possible.
No surprise abut the arrogance, their squad is by far an away the best in the league. Can't see us getting much tomorrow but hopefully we do.
Big Leon is due a goal, and considering he's in for some stick of the home fans, he'll probably do the business, he's played the villain role superbly this season.

We do have a number of excuses that come out over and over again, however, there has only been 2-3 games I've seen where we have lost, where we weren't the better team for 95% of the game and played the opposition off the park. Our inability to take our chances and be clinical in the opposition box is the reason we've lost 11 games as opposed to 2-3.

I'm not disputing the validity of some of the points. Just saying that the wolves poster has the parody to a tee. We play some really nice stuff at times, but haven't responded well to teams trying to nullify us. That little bit of extra quality we just don't seem to be able to find .

I agree. I really think Duffy should have made an entrance on Tuesday, it felt like he thought he needed to put Holmes on to justify the pursuit. Maybe Brooks can make a difference once he's back.

“Have a few blade friends who were giving it large earlier in the season but have spent the last few months in a massive retreat. As a result, I have a unique insight into the psyche of the average blade and so here’s their standard excuses for when they get beat:
1. They would have beaten us if they’d had their first choice midfield available. Whenever they lose it’s always down to them being one or more short in midfield. Admittedly, this argument is going to be more difficult to pull-off now they’ve signed a few. Their first choice midfield are: coutts, some bloke who isn’t coutts, another bloke who isn’t coutts, and another bloke who I’ve never heard of but definitely isn’t as good as coutts. By the way coutts is the best player in the championship and is highly rated by all SU fans. P.S. Coutts suffered a broken leg in a match against Burton literally ages ago but this doesn’t stop SU fans constantly harping on about him. As an update, SU fans are currently petitioning the EFL to get Burton’s villain of the piece banned for life despite the fact that said villain merely attempted to block coutts’ shot and the referee didn’t see the challenge as a foul never mind a booking.
2. Their entire squad, training ground, & stadium, cost less than Neves. They’re very fond of proclaiming that they have the smallest budget in the championship (except they don’t) and will be quick to point this out when they get stuffed. There’s nothing at all ironic in this position despite the fact that they bought promotion from league 1 with the largest budget of all competing clubs and posted a thumping £6 million loss last year. As an aside, Neves isn’t fit to lace Coutts’ boots.
3. Undoubtedly our win will be down to us scoring a worldy. Whenever SU lose it’s because the opposition either: a) score a worldy; b) played out of their skins, e.g. Fulham; c) got lucky, as in, Fulham scored 5 lucky goals.
4. SU got a player undeservedly sent off. As in, since when did a two footed studs up leg breaking lunge 1ft off the ground warrant a red card??? Flecks’ perfectly legitimate well timed tackle was deemed worthy of a red by the overly officious referee of their encounter with Bristol City. Korey Smith, the villain of the piece for successfully influencing the referee due to his theatrics, stupidly took things way too far by actually going off injured. Yes, he went off injured and the knuckle draggers still say he was a play acting wimp. Football is now played by pansies. BC went on to beat SU but only because Fleck was undeservedly sent off and BC got extremely lucky. BC definitely didn’t deserve to win and Wilder definitely didn’t **** things up with his tactics and substitutions. P.S. Wilder is God since achieving promotion from league 1 despite his hands being tied and forced to work miracles with the largest budget in the division.
5. We were nothing special and they battered us at their place. They won’t mention us being a man down for 80 minutes.
Don’t forget: you heard them here first.

This guy tried way too hard...

However... "SU fans are currently petitioning the EFL to get Burton’s villain of the piece banned for life despite the fact that said villain merely attempted to block coutts’ shot and the referee didn’t see the challenge as a foul never mind a booking."

Can someone please link me to the said petition?

Brooks' close control and trickery can certainly unlock a defence by taking a man or two out of the game. He just needs to learn to time his passes. An area he's struggled with on the whole.

I agree, I thought it was pretty humorous to be honest and I recognised quite a few regular remarks. You've got to be able to laugh at yourselves.

Nah - I enjoyed reading that, quite funny really. A quality post - or is it just my humour?
