They should be confident since they smashed us last time around our lads haven't done well against big, physical sides.

This game for me will be crucial. The belief that is building would just go up another level and I would really fancy us in the run in. The game away was the first time in 30 years that I left after 70 mins… it really was that bad so tomorrow night will be a huge game. Can’t wait actually.

Thanks Roy.

Money in the bank though

They sound like some of our lot, all over the place with no clue what to expect, sure Bruce will try & change tactics a little but he hasn't had any time yet so they could be all over the shop. We must take advantage if so.

Did they just say we are "massive!?" Bruce not be reknown for attractive football has to be the understatement of the year.

Not to be exhaustive but just taking the engine room position of central midfield compare our lot with the competition:-
Fulham: Harrison Reed; Cavaleiro, Tom Cairney; Loftus Cheek, Lemina

This guy clearly knows his football

Loftus-Cheek and Lemina were both on loan LAST season. Cavaleiro is a Winger

WBA in a similar position Blades were, manager don't fit players, lets hope there change is not as successful as the Blades.
Quietly confident, you never know We&n*sd%y may suit United.
Thank you Roy.

Just a heads up for the west brom fans on what to expect from Bruce, in the first phase of his management he will set his team up primarily to stop the other team playing, hoping for a break away, which will bore them to death, the second phase is when he gets a better offer and he F$&>! Off

Have to admit and own up, that first year back in the PL, I really thought we would hammer Newcastle at the Lane, it wasnt a question of us winning, more how many we would score, and put them in deeper trouble, somehow Bruce went away with the points, not as confident of beating WBA, lets hope that means Bruce doesn't leave with any points

It came up last week but our record against Steve Bruce's sides is pretty awful. Since we beat his Villa side 4-1 at the Lane we've scored 1 goal in 5 games: Sharp's winner against Newcastle last season.

20/21 PL Newcastle 1-0 United
20/21 PL United 1-0 Newcastle
19/20 (PL; post restart) Newcastle 3-0 United
19/20 (PL; pre restart) United 0-2 Newcastle
18/19 CH Wednesday 0-0 United
18/19 CH United 4-1 Villa
17/18 CH Villa 2-2 United
17/18 CH United 0-1 Villa
13/14 FAC Hull 5-3 United
06/07 LC United 2-4 Birmingham C
01/02 D1 Birmingham C 2-0 United
01/02 D1 United 1-3 Palace
99/00 D1 United 0-1 Huddersfield
99/00 D1 Huddersfield 4-1 United

I do wonder whats going through thier heads, having watched closely to Bruce getting it wrong and boring the pants off Villa and Birmingham, he arrives at West Brom to a whimper and the admission from WBA fans that it's gonna be acticultural, and boring..

Get ready lads, Frankenstien ball has come through the door, a few wins aside which he will cheat his way to, but they surely know that this will end with his sacking in about 9 months time when they all turn on him..

Shit boring football, with added diving screaming and cheating, give your heads a wobble, mans a dinasour..

We were by far the better side that night just as we were when Villa beat us at The Lane 1-0 with a last minute goal in our first season back in The Championship. Two very similar games where Bruce Ball somehow triumphed

Exactly, and I don't think I felt as confident of a win, even before the game against Burnley or Norwich

In this league I've always considered us up there with the competition in terms of ability (execution can be a different matter) to hear some of their fans saying things like "we should have too much for these lot" and the rubbish about the game against Birmingham was full of mistakes is hilarious.

For that reason I hope we completely smash them and knock the looks of the smug fans faces. Shame really since there are some level headed comments from some.

Can we stop with the scared of Bruce bollocks. A Snodgrass wonder goal when we missed chances and ASM are the only reasons his teams have even been competitive when we've played them.

He made what was at the time the worst PL team in history look like Brazil for 45 minutes with how he set Newcastle up. He's as average as it gets and I'm being generous with that description

Its not fear, just extreme annoyance at his 'luck'

Cheers Roy! Here's hoping Bruce continues his excellent record of management in the Birmingham area. Having him at your club these days must the footballing equivalent of beans on toast for tea every fucking day.

See Balhams post above, hes definitely our 'bogey manager'. He even managed to take a point off us at the Lane in the derby match where the Pigs were absolute garbage. That was very soon after being appointed their new manager so let's hope he doesnt repeat it tomorrow

Wasn't he the manager at Hillsbrough rather than our place?

I think u r right, who was their manager when they fluked a 0.0 at the Lane and celebrated like they had won the league ? Or have I imagined that as well !
