It came up last week but our record against Steve Bruce's sides is pretty awful. Since we beat his Villa side 4-1 at the Lane we've scored 1 goal in 5 games: Sharp's winner against Newcastle last season.Have to admit and own up, that first year back in the PL, I really thought we would hammer Newcastle at the Lane, it wasnt a question of us winning, more how many we would score, and put them in deeper trouble, somehow Bruce went away with the points, not as confident of beating WBA, lets hope that means Bruce doesn't leave with any points
Yes, we have.Still got money in bank![]()

Exactly, and I don't think I felt as confident of a win, even before the game against Burnley or NorwichWe were by far the better side that night just as we were when Villa beat us at The Lane 1-0 with a last minute goal in our first season back in The Championship. Two very similar games where Bruce Ball somehow triumphed
Its not fear, just extreme annoyance at his 'luck'Can we stop with the scared of Bruce bollocks. A Snodgrass wonder goal when we missed chances and ASM are the only reasons his teams have even been competitive when we've played them.
He made what was at the time the worst PL team in history look like Brazil for 45 minutes with how he set Newcastle up. He's as average as it gets and I'm being generous with that description
Lots of people seem to think he's good at his job. It's an odd phenomenonIts not fear, just extreme annoyance at his 'luck'
All 'driven' by the old boys club, media giving pundits a platform to trot out some tired, meaningless phrase, like we saw at the weekend, Brendan Rogers, great man manager, best man manager I have played for etc etcLots of people seem to think he's good at his job. It's an odd phenomenon
See Balhams post above, hes definitely our 'bogey manager'. He even managed to take a point off us at the Lane in the derby match where the Pigs were absolute garbage. That was very soon after being appointed their new manager so let's hope he doesnt repeat it tomorrowCan we stop with the scared of Bruce bollocks. Wasn't he the manager at Hillsbrough rather than our place?See Balhams post above, hes definitely our 'bogey manager'. I think u r right, who was their manager when they fluked a 0.0 at the Lane and celebrated like they had won the league ? Or have I imagined that as well !Wasn't he the manager at Hillsbrough rather than our place?
