Another bunch of self righteous wankers who have come down from the premier league who think we should all be grateful for allowing us the privilege of rubbing shoulders with them whilst doffing our caps and saying thank you sirrs for allowing us to give you the points , fucking worked out well for Sunderland and Wigan
Rant over :D:D
Print that you set of tossers at the Birmingham mail :mad:

Wow, didn't expect the dislike for us from some of their fans, presumably stems from the battle of Bramall Lane. I'm not just saying this because of their views, but I've always preferred Wolves over West Brom. Wolves are a genuinely big club and have always come to the Lane in numbers and are vocal. West Brom on the other hand, have had 10 years in the Premier League and still only get 22,000 average and couldn't sell out the Hawthorns. Can't believe any West Brom fan referring to us as small, but you always get the odd idiot comment. I seem to recall Wolves fans were respectful to us last season though

As for the game, I think we'll give a good account of ourselves, and I believe as a team we're as good as them, even though they have the bigger names. As a team I believe we play as one and too often they don't. They didn't dominate at our place either, but I'll give it to them that they looked impressive second half. I hope Barry is on the bench, he was crucial in the win at the Lane, despite his old age.

I usually take opposition comments with a pinch of salt and that's before we get an entertaining selection courtesy of Roy. In this case though I'm genuinely quite bemused by the comments they're quoting. From what I can see they come from this article https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/biggest-game-season-west-brom-15870506. But I have no idea where the Birmingham Mail got them from. Surely our esteemed media aren't making up the stuff they print again??

And without attribution to the source.

Feels like it could be a ‘coming of age’ game for us if we put in a good performance and walk away with all the points

I used to have a soft spot for West Brom. My next door neighbour, as a child, was the brother of the West Brom goalie, John Osbourne. So his kids, my childhood pals, were West Brom supporters, long before I ever got really interested in football.

I remember them being involved in several Cup finals in the 60’s. I admired players like Tony Brown, Jeff Astle, Asa Hartford.

Then came the horrible battle of Bramall Lane and it’s not surprising relations soured between us. We can’t blame West Brom for that! I’m not surprised some prefer Wednesday.

They have been a yo-yo club for years. Too good for the second tier, not good enough for the first tier. Not unlike us in some respects, except we’ve gone further and deeper!

They are a good side. They should be. After all those years of dipping and diving between the top two tiers. They’ve got finances behind them we can only dream of.

But this is a new Sheffield United. A team that plays from the heart, to win fairly and squarely. A team that is made up of rejects and misfits that cost peanuts, but bust a gut to win every game. Led by a manager with great tactical nous and without a chip on his shoulder. We play some great football. Unconventional. Unfathomable at times. We’ve broken the mould.

In the previous fixture this season I thought we were better than them first half and they were better than us second half.

It should be a great game.

It’s a shame some of their fans seem so negative about us. It doesn’t really matter though. It’s commonly been the case with many teams this season. Whatever the result I just hope we may change a few opinions about us afterwards. And I’m confident we will. We are a good team playing good football, the right way.

Quite dreadful comments. May our boys perform to their best and stuff these pathetic over inflated egos then we can enjoy the post match moaning.

Well that set of comments has not endeared me to their club in the slightest. Sounds like they're preparing to play a mid table side.

Christ almighty Mary Joseph. What a set of cunts. Blue and white....it figures.

Pin up that lots comments in the dressing room Wilder!

And I hope we walloped em in the stands in 1986 too.

Odd this, I’ve known a few Baggies fans over the years and they’ve all been down to earth blokes with no real hint of arrogance. Even travelled to the infamous Battle of game with one and we laughed all the way home.

Gonna be tight, if we lose and its a fair old game I won't be unhappy because the Baggies are a good side. However if that cheating twat starts diving around to get an advantage then I'm gonna fucking blow a fuse.

If we fire on all cylinders they are not gonna know what hit em!

we should have enough to beat these, with Murphy and Harper improving and Gayle and Phillips back,it will be the usual stupid short passing at the back and in midfield going astray making us own worst enemy that is our biggest problem, maybe at home we need to let the opposition have more of the ball and hit them on the break, rather than us having to attack them.”

The above is why most fans should be sat in the stand and not on the bench. If they let us have most of the ball we will absolutely murder them. They beat us at the lane because they stopped us from getting on it. No biased here but in possession we are the best team in the division.

Just heard a rumour (i think it's via Wit) that the Baggies comments have indeed made it to Mr Wilder - can't confirm it of course but i hope it's true and it gets us more fired up than usual (not that we won't be anyway)........

The only Premier league club playing in the Championship at the moment is Aston Villa (Leeds out too long) Whereas the 3 relegated clubs were merely Championships playing in the Prem.

Much prefer those type of comments from opposing fans than when they're chucking the towel in before a ball has been kicked, be great to ram it straight back down the deluded f***ers throats Saturday tea-time.

In the boring club stakes WBA are right up there with the likes of Coventry.

I like the West Midlands, always have since being a student there some time in the Jurassic period. I've always liked their down to earth nature, lack of pretention (Brummies tend to not big it up like some Mancs or Leeds types), and general ok normalness! I can only assume that the idiots commenting are a very small minority of Baggie hipsters who's grip on reality is minimal to nil!!!

Don't bother with the pre-match team talk Chris; just get the lads to read this. And then ram it back down their throats.

But this is a new Sheffield United. A team that plays from the heart, to win fairly and squarely. A team that is made up of rejects and misfits that cost peanuts, but bust a gut to win every game. .

One of the best things I have read on here.

Not reading nine pages so I don't know if this point has been made? They talk about best squad, "Consistency is key" . "We've only list to Middlesbrough in the top six".
So what they're really saying is their manager is underperforming because he's not getting the best lout of their players.

As we were leaving the Lane after the West Brom game on our way to the station two of their deluded fuckwits made derogatory remarks about the Blades. We gave them a roasting and hopefully we’ll beat these pork like deluded cretins as their sense of entitlement overwhelms their low intellect.
