“They’re confident about a win”

Where the hell have they got that from?

Think it’s all about interpretation.

I’m confident we can win doesn’t mean I think we will but we have a realistic chance.
I’m also confident we’ll play well and put in a good performance, should have spells of dominating them.
Also confident that we’re a better “team” than them. In isolation someone might think that’s arrogance.

However I’m confident that West Brom have the higher quality individual players
So if they perform at their best then I’m confident WBA should win.
However I’ve seen a few WBA games recently and they’re are not playing that well, don’t look a team unit compared to us.
However some would say it’s the sign of a good team when you dont play well but still scrape a win or draw.
If West Brom play like they’ve been playing recently then I reckon we’re slight favourites but of course I’m expecting WBA to raise their level. It’s a great match and will answer a lot of questions about both clubs auto promotion credentials.

Adrian Chiles, Frank Skinner, we're coming for you.
Trivia: highest ground in the league.

Was already buzzing for this one, arrogant twats have wound things up a few more notches, can’t wait.

Arrogant as those comments are, they did play us off the park for an hour at the Lane, after our bright opening spell. Was bitterly disappointed with how we played later on in the game, letting the fossil Barry run the show. Madine may give them something to think about hopefully.

Where on earth have they got it from that we're cocky and believing we'll smash them? I've not seen a single Blade say anything of the sort.

They on the other hand seem to believe they're Barcelona despite being just as in it as we are.

I hope we do smash these now. I hope Wilder does a proper tactical number on 'em and we piss it with consummate ease.
It’s because we’re good and above them because we deserve to be

You'd have thought having a similar points total after 30 odd games would negate any overconfidence gained during a 60 minutes purple patch.

There's some link between fans that bounce and total delusion, it seems.

Hmm. Better than the leagues' deadliest goalscorer or better than Fleck or JOC who will be playing in the prem next season (one way or the other)? Or better than Deano or Norwood. Don't think so.

What an bunch of ungracious planks. Never thought I’d ever say this but I’d much prefer Leeds to be promoted with us than West Brum or Naaarwich.

I can see why WBA play in blue and white stripes now, either that or Roygbiv has looked at comments on Porktalk by mistake.

I know we’re indignant mate but there’s no need for that kind of talk, on a civilised forum.
Leeds are a much bigger club than West Brum. But I do find them less arrogant than most teams who’ve been touched with the Premier league stick.

“no disrespect to these but come on this should be targeted as a win. i cant think of one of their players who would get into our team. its time for our players and coaching staff to give us a performance that stands out”

Oh I can't wait for this.
I’m always amazed how many fans don’t realise football is a TEAM game.

There that much better than everyone in league, there sat in 4th.
Have a day off

I usually take opposition comments with a pinch of salt and that's before we get an entertaining selection courtesy of Roy. In this case though I'm genuinely quite bemused by the comments they're quoting. From what I can see they come from this article https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/biggest-game-season-west-brom-15870506. But I have no idea where the Birmingham Mail got them from. Surely our esteemed media aren't making up the stuff they print again??

Just had a read of provided link . Think certain posters on here should contact the Birmingham Mail and ask why they have used quotes without consent.

They’ve conveniently selected one line of my opinion but failed to quote the rest where I’ve given them credit.
My point was that West Brom have been very average and lucky recently so I feel their luck is due to change
So I do have a feeling we will win but anything could happen and I’d be happy with a draw.

It would be so typical of the Championship this season if
Sheff Utd impress and beat WBA, their fans are on a downer saying they’re not good enough.
Then next week West Brom go away to Leeds and impressively beat them, so now the Leeds fans are on a downer
Then the week or so after that Leeds beat us, so the promotion pack are all bunched up again.

It is not illegal to quote people from internet forums. I think though in the spirit of not being a " cunty journalist " they should quote fully what people have said in it`s full glory instead picking just the juicy bits to make people look like idiots and stir up resentment between fans of both clubs.

One comment saying we'll win

I gather that West Brom have been lucky on a number of occasions this season, only picking up the 3 points because of the superior finishing of their strikers. And in recent weeks they have given away quite a few goals trying to play out from the back - which is music to my ears considering our high-pressing, high-tempo style of play.

It's difficult to argue they have the better individual players, but clearly it doesn't count for much considering our TEAM have picked up more points than them, conceded far less and are ahead of them in key stats like xG.

In fact, it's fair to say they are massively underperforming given the quality of their squad - they should be walking this league but find themselves down in 4th. Can't ever recall them being top either.

P.S. £2m Sharp and £0 McGoldrick have scored as many as £9m Gayle and £11m Rodriguez this season - which should be of further embarrassment to them.

What a set of bell ends they sound. It’s funny because they’re just a small club from the midlands.

I rarely take comments by opposing fans too seriously........but......throughout the Albion fans there seems to be a belief that they have an entitlement. Not sure to what, but they really do imagine that they're some sort of Championship royalty, and that other teams are mere fodder to be pushed aside.

It often happens when an average club spends a brief spell in the PL and think it's their 'natural home'. I can think of a club in the Barnsley area who think the same, despite not being in the PL for nineteen fucking years.
