It is one thing that some of them are still clinging on to the wreckage that Sheffield Wednesday FC have become , which to some extent deserves a certain level of admiration .

It is quite another that a high percentage of them try to get round this obvious truth by trying to create an almost entirely fictitious account of their past achievements , and the respect they were held in by the rest of the footballing community in this country .

The post that best summed that mentality to me was the one from the guy who tried to demonstrate that they were a much bigger club than us (yawn) using yardsticks such as “global presence “ and having had “ legendary players in their own right “ .

The truth is that they have never had either by any stretch of the imagination and in the second category , the best was probably Chris Waddle who joined them towards the end of his career but could never be considered to be a great .

Meanwhile , their less fortunate neighbours across the city had at least three who undoubtedly truly fit that description, they being Jimmy Hagan , Joe Shaw and Tony Currie , the likes of which they have never had the honour and privilege of seeing represent their club .

Because of the deluded nonsense that he and many like him continue to pour out , I truly hope that we give them a good thrashing . On the other hand , I doubt this will make any difference to their ridiculously overblown claims as to their significance in the history of English football .

So to conclude, the game doesn’t matter but it absolutely matters and we will easily put 5 or 6 past em but who knows we might also lose?

Kenneth Williams was born 100 years ago today. His most famous quote sums up most Wednesday fans thought process at the moment, 'Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me!'

I’m surprised there is any room left in the ground. Their Global presence will just fill the whole stadium
. Get in early or be very disappointed 😂
I travel all over Europe and Asia with work, literally one person has ever said they have heard of Wednesday, and that was a Swedish guy who comes over to watch Championships games.

If you haven’t been in the Premier League recently you are irrelevant outside of these shores.

Ironic, isn't it. They claim that we would celebrate beating them as it's "their cup final" and that we have nothing else. I would have thought beating them would be an achievement to celebrate, given that their position as intergalactic superchampions. Equally ironic is that they still clap their trotters over the Boxing Day "massacre" (hardly something to celebrate seeing as it was a Division 3 game). Hopefully moving forward all they'll have to watch is a phoenix club playing on Hillsborough Park on a Saturday afternoon. Jumpers for goalposts? Delicious.

Obviously, no View From should we lose or draw so hopefully see you all on Sunday evening

I love how they keep referring to our ‘disastrous’ seasons in the prem, and then moan like hell when we get parachute payments which allow us to challenge for promotion. Reality is, for clubs like ours, there’s no such thing as a disastrous season in the prem.
