However, for all their dramatising our squad value, let's dramatise it another way.

Of the 11 who started v QPR only 2 players were bought for a fee;

1. Tanganga (max £10m presuming add ons)
2. Cooper, who was around £2m?

So essentially we currently have 1.2 Jordan Rhodes's in our entire starting line up.

I also laughed at the comment about this game being all we have. They're essentially relegated but have 2 games against their rivals, fuck off.
 
That first comment describes exactly how deluded that fan base is. If they win they are triumphant, but if they lose, then they are also triumphant because they are at their lowest ebb in their history and it will be a hollow victory for us.

Absolutely no mention of how poor and fragile our team is - it's all about them.

Talk about setting themselves up for a fall. They really think the balance of power is going to change and we’re cacking it.

As we speak no-one’s even put a bid in yet, they’re just taking a look and some have already walked/ran away.

If I were them I’d tone it down a bit until they at least knew who the new owners are( if someone’s daft enough to buy them)

…and the talk of the pressure being all on us, I certainly don’t feel it. I expect us to win and if we don’t I certainly won’t be losing any sleep over it.

I don't change my support of United based on how Wednesday are doing. I don't really understand why them being in administration means United fans are scared 🤷

2 really poor teams, they have their deduction so they can put absolutely everything into this game because it's by far the biggest of their season. Fuck knows what United will be like

I think it will be a draw. All the crap they're spouting about means nothing in a Derby game - every fan with an ounce of common sense knows this.

Even if we did win 8-0 it would not matter one jot and would be totally expected because no club or fan base as ever been so hard done to as them.

Complete and utter delusion.

To counter their claim of usrunning scared and it would be a total embarrasment for us if we don't batter them 4+, they are proper bricking a massive defeat (which we know will not happen!) and their defences mechanisms are already loaded and locked in.

They've played the reverse phycology card for a while now so if they do lose it's "not a problem". At the end of the day derby matches are mostly tight affairs and one team getting battered isn't common at all. If we beat them 1-2, then in their eye's it's a decent result as we should have scored loads..

Personally, I think it can go either way, I'm far from confident about Sunday and wouldn't be surprised if we lost.
 
If I could have been bothered to have written that little lot before I saw it then I could have presented myself as a Derren Brown type figure, only to the amazement of nobody as we all knew what was coming.

My feelings about football fans are that we're all basically the same no matter which team we follow, but these people are quite probably unique. How two sets of supporters of mediocre professional teams which occupy the same, mediocre city can be of such a different mentality is astonishing.

To paraphrase the fictional Fawlty Towers psychiatrist Dr Abbott - there's enough in that View From for a entire convention.
 

They just don't get the fact that for years we've lived rent free in their heads , yet according to them we're mostly just watching them obsessed , most blades just look at our "ups and downs" with a shrug and detached inevitably.
It's their entitlement that makes me laugh out loud, they've just had an owner who threw millions at them then drove him out and then sit there claiming the usual "sleeping giant" etc and because of this they expect someone with the money of Jeff bezos or Elon musk should be privileged to own a club of their magnitude.

If they truly believe the tide is turning then why are they so sure we must batter them to get any kind of gloating rights? Surely if they were on course to overtake us, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they won? It’s not like we’re having a good season.

Champions League involvement within three years and a 60k stadium is blinding them to reality. So pretty much more of the same but the fantasies have taken a huge step up.

A couple of months ago the hope was for a fresh start as a phoenix club now it’s Real Madrid in blue and white stripes.

They’re basically making a narrative so that no matter the result on Sunday, they don’t lose (even if they do actually lose).
 
I know there are weird people in the world because there are religious nuts, cultists and criminals around. Then I read a ‘View from pigs’ and the level of weird so close to where I grew up just amazes me even more.

What a really strange set of supporters they are, probably the most insecure set of individuals anywhere in the world.
