Souza needs to keep a lid on his physicality - Bannan will know how to fall over and any whiff of Souza getting a couple of yellows will be seized upon. Souza to his credit has got better as the season as gone at this though.

We should have too much for them but I’ve learnt from their pre match comments on 2017 not to get too giddy.

From what I've seen of Bannan he won't be anywhere near souza he sneaks around in little pockets of space away from the main traffic usually in the space between his own midfield and full backs
So would probably come into contact with o hare more than anyone else

Stop bannan stop them..

The kid on loan will get a yellow, then get him sent off..

Game over.

That’s good then, similar weight classes to each other. Be a good match up that, hopefully OHare can pick up some confidence.

I can't believe they think they're on the up when they can't even afford to pay their tax bill. Soon as rohl gets picked up by someone else they'll be transitioning straight back to league one.
Not going to let this drop.

One result against a team missing 11 players is the only difference between them being suddenly classed as midtable, to being in the bottom three.

That last result has them well above their current level.

Not to say they can’t pull the odd result off. It they do lack consistency and a worse team than us just put 6 past them.

Cheers Roy, but where to start with all of that?
It encapsulates every difference in mentality between United and Wednesday fans.
If they had our team, they'd be guaranteed promotion to the Premier League and demand a fast pass to the Champions League.
In conversations with them at work they've appeared as fearful and humble as myself as to the outcome of this game, I'm saying 0-0 by the way.
But in their pack mentality and on faceless forums they're a completely different breed, as if a collective psychosis has consumed them where reality and facts are an irrelevance.
If they win, they'll be insufferable, and if
they lose, they'll talk about games from 30 years ago as if Sunday never happened.

Think it's a herd type thing. My quite a bit of my family are Wednesday and in the past when I've spoken to them very rarely have they been optimistic or even looked forward to the next match. Get a couple of them in the room and you'd think they were a side Real Madrid wished they were

Respectfully can I add the following Roy just because of the added beauty of the username?

I particularly like how he finds a way to void all the goals conceded so that their defense is actually good.

Well I can remember a team steamrolling through them.

Watford IIRC…

'Tactically we are generally better than them, they are simply able to beat teams due to the level of player they have'. 😂😂

Worked well did the half time tactic chit chat against the might of watford

Old sausage Rohl with his subbuteo tactics board...ends up making a 'radical' change by putting Smith up front and hoying it up to him 🤣🤣

We'll just launch it long from every angle will we?

Seeing as we don't do that when Moore plays and he won't be.....

Check this thread out, genuinely hilarious

I’d be tempted to give blaster the role of following him around to be honest. Whilst it might negate some of his input in an attacking sense you’d back Blaster to have the intensity and tenacity to completely take Bannan out of the game if that’s something we were looking to do tactically.

Bannans quite clever at dropping into. Areas a midfielder won't follow him
That's why I think him and o hare will be dueling more than anyone ekse but wder might have a plan to keep. Him quiet

He's never had a kick in previous derbys

In the interests of fairness and balance, here’s Mark the Pitsmoor Pig with a derby day preview…
