My son-in-law has been a big Villa fan all his life although he lives in Sheffield now. I really hope we win this one as I had to sit next to him when we were 3-0 up and they scored 3 in 10 minutes. He was ecstatic but he was lucky to get away without a reight hammering!! Thanks Roy, we are truly back.

Apart from when we beat villa 2-0 this season

Its nonsense. We were average in terms of shots last season as we are encouraged not to shoot from areas you are unlikely to score from.

After reading the first half of view from I was worried (how many times have we played under Wilder when oppo fans have thrown the towel in before a balls been kicked only for us to go on to lose), felt much better after reading the second half.

That said I think I might still have a punt on a Villa win. Thinking about it i had the same bet last year thanks to my bird at the time being a total jinx when watching United. I should have known when she said she'd seen us twice at the Lane before v Burton (both defeats) and the FA cup semi defeat v Hull. One of our first dates I took her on the lash and to the Swansea first game of the season (lost), the return game at Swansea in the pub (lost), Derby away in the pub (lost) and we went to the Barnet cup game (I had gone into the bookies with the intention on punting on a defeat because my bird was going, only to lose my nerve when i thought non-league Barnet at the Lane, nah, put it on a draw!!!). With the Villa game I put my money on a win for them and at 3-0 I thought I don't mind losing my money if we win, my bird then turned up when there was 30 minutes to go (she always denied it but I thought she'd hid in the pub car park until she thought three points were in the bag). Then by full time I'd lost my money and it felt worse than a defeat. She did come good a month later when we beat Leeds though, so I'll let off!!!
