I notice in Australia, people often use the singular, which sounds very unusual to my ears. For example, on the news they will read it out as “Western Sydney has won” or “Manchester United is...” and Mrs [australian] blade away and I have often debated which is correct!

“Sheffield Wednesdays fucked it up again” makes good use of the singular

Looking at the fixtures this weekend in the championship, it's utterly unpredictable.

Leeds away at borough...any result possible. West Brom at stoke, any result possible. Norwich at home might seem a bit more predictable, but it's their "pig match" and any result, is again, possible.

I hope to God we do manage to go up this season (if we don't make Chris wilder his fortune soon enough, someone else will)

But I would miss this league.

I don't know what to think about this one but they don't seem very confident do they? Brucie really must have knocked the shit out of them. Strange really Brucie usually gets teams promoted after spending millions but has been an utter failure at Villa even though they have some great players. Glad Grealish is injured as I really rate him, that is when he is not on his arse feigning injury or crying to the ref. Abrahams will be a danger for any side hope we can keep him quiet because I think there are goals to be had at the other end. The player I really do rate is McGinn more so than Grealish our midfield will need to be at it tonight.
A few negatives for us to ponder it is on phuckin Sky we are nearly always shit on TV, we have a shit record at Villa and when we find ourselves needing a win to go top or to make a statement we usually fuck up. Oh and Dean Smith hope they don't play like Walsall do against us.
Wilder has hinted at a few changes for this game but I still think we will put out a stronger team than the one that gave Villa a master class at the lane it probably all hinges on us keeping Abrahams and McGinn quiet, take our chances at the other end and we could be bringing the 3pts home.

It's strange that we're all nervous of Villa and I think the reason is because - "they're Aston Villa", theyre a massive club and going there is meant to be tough.

If you decipher it though, we have accumulated 24pts AWAY and they have only taken 1 pt more at HOME.. we're 3rd, theyre 9th. It's a game that we should be looking at as a winnable game. But I like many others aren't looking at their position or recent form, I don't seem to get past the "Aston Villa" part.
