Pre-Match View From Villa

Some reasonably well informed comments there and some nice compliments too.

Good to see that they felt last season was a tough game as i also think that they were lucky to get the late goal in the home game. However, they're a tough side and we did pretty much match them in two games as well as playing them when they were heading into top gear.

I was really worried about Villa before Bolton, but i think that performance will have given us a lot of confidence. We're less predictable again and i think the football we play can and does open sides up.

Villa will be a very different prospect, they're a well organised, well drilled Steve Bruce side. Not exciting to watch, but with players that can, do and probably will change the game. We don't really have this in our locker.

I'm really interested to see how Bruce approaches it. I am guessing that he will set up two banks of 4 and make it hard to breakdown, but try to do us on the counter.

That improved Midfield of ours will be in for a real test. I can't wait, even if i think a point will be a really good result.

fuck grealish .. the player they will ‘really’ miss is john terry.. thought he was superb at bdtbl

Yeah I agree with that, terry was their stand out player,no fuss, just read the game.
I believe we have a better keeper this time,He’ll win us points this year,
3-1 Blades

When I was at Abbey Lane Primary school in the 1960 we played Woodseats school at football. I didn't play but at one point the other gang of kids started chanting Woodseats, Woodseats, Woodseats. Proud to say we chanted back Softseats, Softseats, Softseats.
wooder vs abbey lane .. now that’s a rivalry of Glaswegian proportions.. irony being that they all end up at the same school anyway :D

Wow, very complimentary comments there, I think they lurv us really!

Said it last week. The good teams know we play football and are a threat against anyone.

The shit teams (lower mid table and down) assume we are the same as them and just lump it forward, scoring lucky goals every now and then.

Maybe that means we play up to the standard of the better teams but let ourselves get dragged down into a dogfight by the shithousing teams? Hopefully Bolton is an example of that changing?
