Realistically, a draw would be a good result. If you draw against your rivals away, beat them at home and take six points from some of the poorer teams you're usually there or thereabouts.
Drawing and losing against mid table and shit sides, particularly at the Lane, was a much bigger issue last season.

What's happened at Swindon to make them so pessimistic about Saturday? They put 12 goals past us last season.

Exactly the kind of conservative attitude that finds us still in League One.

Go there and fucking smash 'em! Play to win!
It certainly is when taken out of context.

I said a draw would be a good result, I didn't say play for one. Playing for a draw with our defence would be suicidal.

I have a bit of antipathy towards Swindon after my Nephew got spat upon by one of their Neanderthals after the league game there last season, I know you shouldn't judge them all by one fan cos we have our own nutters as well but still....

As for the upcoming match, well I admit to being one of the pessimists about this game I reckon it's the first big test of the defence since opening day and it's the area of our game that worries me the most... Fingers crossed I am wrong though

What a nice bunch. Would love to see both us and Swindon go up at the expense of Wigan.

Was saying that at the end of last season, but most on here thought they were a set of cnuts.
Just cos some chavvy Swindonians were trying it on at the end of the play off game in front of where we were sat.
FFS.
As now, most on Roygbiv "view from" were pretty sound I thought

Unfortunately at what seems like every club there is a selection of supporters like the "cnuts" you describe. We have our fair share.

I agree, by the sounds of their forum they seem pretty pleasant compared to previous "view froms".

Seen a couple of comments in the thread about Swindon fans after play-off semi. What did they do? I wasn't there and I don't remember what people said on here.

As is apparent from the forum after that game and before this it wasn't all their fans but, say, 50 or 100 of them ran across and lined up in front of the away end, taunting and jeering.

For me personally it was a real surprise and out of keeping with the excitement of the game and the general occasion.

If your first reaction after a victory like that is to taunt the opposition rather than celebrate and enjoy your achievement then maybe it's more sad than anything else.

I really don't like comparing people to insects - this has bad historical precedents - but it was like lifting up a stone and seeing all the creepy crawlies scuttling around.

The kind of thing you might find provocative when you're younger but when you reflect on it it's just pitiable in its own way.

Important to note that it really was a loud and visible but small minority.

Big noise, small dick.

sounds a lot like how some Reading scumbags went off after they beat Bradford in the cup last year, and they were holding lighters up to tauint them about the fire as well. Must be summat they put in the water in that M4 corridor.

Got to apologise for our mongs last year although most of those who went towards your fans only wanted to applaud you. I was in The Merlin before the game chatting to a few of your lot when some of our Stella-fuelled fans chirped up with 'northern bastards' song. I could have died with embarrassment.

Anyway, for those travelling tomorrow have a safe trip and have yourselves a good season - I'm sure it's your turn this season.

Nice sentiment and thanks for the good wishes but in most civilised parts of the country we find the word '****' somewhat offensive.
