This old chestnut again - the Championship is poor standard (tell Rotherham, Barnsley and Wendy fans that). These folks should have watched the old Div 2 for Christ-sake. The Prem is choc full of international stars and the No 1 League on the planet and the Champ is not far off equivalent of the old Div 1 yonks ago. Playing surfaces (Hillsborough apart) are excellent, and the modern game is played at a pace unmatched before. Players are able to pull the ball out of the air and control it instantly. When players like TC could do it they were in a minority.
As for not watching Champ games I'd take them over mainly predictable Prem games any time.
