Did Tony Currie ever play for the Blades at Veitch Field as we didnt play them very often in those days

“Can’t remember the year but what stood out for me in one match against Sheffield United was Tony Currie
Such a stylist and strong midfielder. But especially the range of his passing. Leather ball and mud. But he would be able to strike the ball as a long range pass practically from one corner to another diagonally
.Pinpoint accuracy and effortless. I was gobsmacked . And not just high in the air and coming down near vertical.. it was like an arrow whizzing in a low trajectory. Absolutely unbelievable. Still remember to this day.

I love you my friend!

11v11 shows a big gap from 1964 to 1988 and Leeds also rarely there. They did play QPR early 80s so maybe it was then?

EDIT: could possibly have been a friendly?

On the bright side a statement win for them also means a statement loss for us... oh wait...

Was some of the comments lost in translation from Cymreag……United are shit but it will be a statement win. Give over boyos and go pester some ewes

2 all, statement draw for me!

“If we play like that for the majority of the season then we are in for an exciting season"
Exact opposite for us I'm afraid

That Barrie Hole later played for Villa, they had a midfield of Brown, Arce, Hole...

Gomersall Vicky's dad?

Had a chat with my Swansea mate although I wont be going to the match. I told him that two of our creative players have been sold because they are in their lasy year of their contracts and have turned down our new contract offers, we need a new centre back and someone who plays in left midfield. Told him that our fans feel demoralised by this week's events wondering if we are going to get punished.

He said he is disappointed that Galbraith left for Stoke, wasnt too impressed with their display in the League Cup so he expected Swans to finish mid table. Sam Burgess is injured and out for the season. Ronald not the player he was and didnt play at Stoke last week. He thought Stoke were poor, Swansea not much better but took their chances.

I sent him Roy's view from Swansea and told him I am not disputing their confidence for tomorrow.
