Have they not watched their own team play??? A last minute winner seems to have wiped out 20 games of mediocrity.

They look like we did 6 weeks ago. Timid, deep lying, desperately hoping for a moment of magic to score. One off game and all that but these are 2 very different teams from when we played them last

Made me laugh. Just wait until they face our team of giants with Burrows, Hamer, O'Hare, Peck, Brewster, Cannon, Davies and Choudhury all up for set pieces!

I have to live (exist) in & among these creatures.

Numerous (proper) Sun'lun fans of my acquaintance are far less cocky & consistently cite their awful end of season form as a ‘fear’ alongside Le Bris’s tactical conservatism & willingness to hold on to 1 -0 ‘s (sound familiar?!)

Guess it’s indicative of the (mentality of) type of folk that ‘contribute’ to football fan forums, - as evidence by a quick squint on our own, most every day😳

Very confident arent they for a team that has lost 7 of their last 8 ninety minute games( or some similar statistic).

I've got everything crossed that O'nien plays as hes small, weak and prone to massive gaffs, Campbell will rag doll him all over Wembley. Don't rate their keeper or Ballard...both look like their diet is a mixture of fish and chips and curry. So let's hope Mepham is on the bench.

Their eleven is better than our eleven? The league table would suggest otherwise.

Two good sides, I’m expecting a tough close game, as are most play off finals. There’s a lot at stake.

Some salty views from them with no basis in fact.

As Wilders said, we've earned those parachute payments by getting up in 2019 without them. It's not us who made the rules. Yes it does give us an advantage

Yes we should be better than them and in my opinion we are, as the league table shows, but we've got to prove it on a one off day of course. It will be a tough game but the way we're playing I'm as confident as I could be but still wary!
 
Fans who moan about us having parachute payments as though it's some sort of unfair advantage, make themselves sound very stupid. It's just how Premier League money is paid out. Get in the Premier League and your club will get some money as well.

Those fans of clubs who also had parachute payments when they dropped out of the Premier League, yet still moan about us having them, sound even more stupid.

Those fans of clubs who got parachute payments, and managed to get relegated to League One whilst receiving those parachute payments, yet still moan at us like it's an unfair advantage.... I don't know what the word is to be honest.
 
Sunderland fan here...
I think we are the slight under dogs, but this is a massive one off game in the championship playoff final. Anything can happen.
We are not the team we were at the beginning of the season, but we have some very talented young players and we have a couple of rapid players who can hurt teams on the break.
 
Shef Utd are the third best team in the division. If you win you will be deserved winners. We were the 4th, so to be fair this final being played out between the pair of us is how it should be.
I don't think any Sunderland fan that i know is cocky or expects anything other than a tough game. It's a shame that there are going to be parts of the stadium that could have been sold to fans wanting to go, but as I understand it this will be minimal and the attendance should be a big one.

By the way I have always liked the chip butty song you sing... I just hope I only hear it before the game on Saturday.

They do seem to be very confident, more confident then we are for sure. I'd say we're more optomistic than confident.

They do remind me a lot of the pig fans as well. A little obsessed about attendances and quite delusional about their club although they have a lot more right to be than the pigs.

I'm just hoping for once we win a big game and come away from Wembley all smiles.

It'd be also nice to see what the new owners plans will be like should we go up. I think that's why we've heard nowt tbh. Totally different scenario to any plans if they know we've got a guaranteed £200m coming in.
