To be fair

We have to play EVERY team above us away. That's 100%. Perhaps that's what they meant.
Yeah that is what they meant, but i still found it funny nevertheless

Cheers Panchero!

“Nobody is above average this season"

I'm no statistician but....
If you take the average back to 1981, then it is possible that all this year’s teams are worse than average, but how do you judge what average is in the first place.

Alex Neil's sidwes have always performed pretty well at BL even if they haven't always won. Even so, surely United won't trip up tomorow will they?

Early season blip is over and done. The players can see that finish line and the pay raise that comes with PL. 7-0. Take it to the bank😋

I'm not swallowing any of that "we will get hammered" shit........the last time we played them at Bramall Lane in January in a league fixture we won 2-1.......1967

To a large extent it doesn't matter who the opposition are.
We can come from behind and beat Burnley , or lose to Rovram.
It's up to us to perform.
I tend to agree about the mediocrity of this year's Championship.
Success will come to those who want it enough to put in the effort and play to their potential.
We have enough quality to win every game we play if , and it's a big if :
The selections and tactics are right.
The players each put in a shift.

Thanks Roy. Stoke being Stoke I can see this being a grinder of a game.
An ugly 3 points but I'll take that thanks.

Stoke are an interesting team in a sense.

Not so much in the intriguing sense but in that It feels like they could be some alternative version of us had we made different decisions or maybe a look into next season if we don’t go up.

Players like Josh Laurent and Dwight Gayle signed for them and on the face of it haven’t excelled. Certainly they are players who would have entered the discussion threads on here when we were looking at pre season options.

These were supplemented by loan signings from Brentford (Fosu), Southampton (Smallbone), Bournemouth (Kilkenny), Delap (Man City), Chelsea (Sterling), Arsenal (Clarke). Not too dissimilar to some of our own loan signings really.

Their higher rated keeper Bursik looks like being sold to Club Brugge so it will be Bonham between the sticks who seems a bit of a journeyman.

Souttar seems to be their main asset and is the sort of player we might want to keep any eye on.

This in all likelihood could be the last time we see Phil Jagielka playing at the Lane.

Cheers Royston, top job!👍

Some weird fuckers in Stoke.

“We are better away than at home. I’ve given up expecting anything from home games.”

They beat us at home. So we’re getting tonked today?

My Mrs is a Stokie, come on the blades!!! They seem to be blaming the ref before they even start.
