cheers Roy for all of these it has been my favourite friday afternoon thing
i’m interested to see the views next season .. i don’t think they will be as bitter but could be patronising from some of the bigger clubs

Suspect Roygbiv has spent much of this week setting up new accounts on football teams, fan forum sites he hasn't looked at before ;)

It's a possibility although the lazy sod is more likely to have been on the piss all week.

I bet he's been walking around with a daft from on his face too. Pretty much like every other Blade I know, myself included.

Just love it when you show me your "from face" :o

It seems that supporters of other clubs are still externalising the criticism, rather than directing it towards their own club & players. During the season it can be excused to a point, even at the point of promotion due to tribalism, but now we’ve been promoted it should stop due to realism. But it’s not, and the same twats are now projecting it into next season.

The comments about not having any of our players over theirs is moronic, other than Norwich (at the moment) no team can/should say that. That’s the exact judgemental attitude that’s keeping their team down and alllowing underperforming players to pocket big wages.

What teams like Stoke, Wednesday, etc should be doing as a matter of urgency, is quickly learning all they can about what has happened to us since CW took over and replicating it. Fans of other clubs should have recognised this and be demanding that their clubs change and quickly, not still throwing shitty opinions at us from the league below.

I have my own views on who we need to bring in next season and where we’ll finish, but one thing I’ll say is that even in my worst assessment we’ll better Huddersfield’s performance this season and have £200m in the bank. And that’s good enough for me because four seasons ago I seriously feared for where the club was heading. And if, and I mean a big if, we get a couple of tonkings next season off City or Liverpool, it won’t bother me in the slightest, because I’ve seen us lose to far, far, far worse than that in L1.

To be fair so did lots of people, myself included - they were pretty big favourites with the bookies at 5/1, nearest other team was WBA at 8/1. I'd guess they'll be among the top 5-6 favourites next year as well, even with how this season as gone.

Hats off to you for knowing better though :)

To be fair, they lost their hoofball style a couple of seasons ago and replaced it with...nothing much. They got relegated with hardly a whimper. And then they got rid of their best player for a ridiculously small fee.

I never understood the din about them being serious promotion challengers...like so many teams in the Championship they are just a bunch of fairly decent players in search of a style.

I honestly think Stoke fans have forgotten what good football looks like. You could tell when earlier in the season they were having a go at the team for not hoofing it that it's going to take a while for them to overcome the Pulis bug.

To be fair we’ve still got a few like that.

Many a time I’ve heard “gerrit forwad” screamed from the terrace.

Not drank since Sunday but had enough then to last me the week. Hopefully same again this Sunday celebrating being Champions. If not , absolutely bladdered at the parade trying to keep up with the players .

Have had a daft grin on my face all week though ;)

'Massive' bingo

1) we are shit
2) none of our players get intheir team
3) definitely relegated
4) Terrible league
5) horrible fans
6) transfer fees
7) only promoted because we are organised
8) Pashun

Full house!

I fucking love it. Every other teams bitterness and tears are just making it sweeter and sweeter
It is amazing how we are perceived by fans of some other teams. Do they actually watch any football?

Thanks Roy for another season of great work putting these together. Looking forward to the Premier League version already!

Bravo.

Even Oliver Norwood is apparently shite with his third successive promotion on his cv!?

This attitude has pervaded a lot of our opponents this season I think, wonderfully encapsulated by the line in Egan’s song, “they called us journeymen”. An insight maybe that all the disparaging comments go straight to the dressing room....long may it continue frankly!

The difference with coming down last time is that most of us knew it was all over, we'd struggle just like any other Championship club to go up again.

Can’t say I agree with that. We all knew that Jags would leave, but even without him I thought we had a squad that should have been able to get back the following season – if Warnock had stayed, or if we’d appointed someone that could apply a similar style to his, I think we would have done. Unfortunately we got completely the wrong choice of manager in, and bought players that were completely unnecessary.

A concern that I would have this time round that I didn’t have in 2007 (in the event it is just one year there) is that half of the team might conceivably be bought by Premier League teams. I didn’t feel the threat that any clubs would come in for our key players in 2007, so in theory that squad could have had another go largely intact. Relegation in a year's time would probably mean Stevens, JOC, Egan, Fleck, Norwood all being snapped up for starters.

Wit posted on Twitter that Wilder and the team had read the arrogant pre-match view from West Brom so I'm personally taking the credit for our promotion Brian The Blade style ;)

Brilliant haha!! A proud moment for you no doubt....it’s not really surprising though is it, they are exactly the sort of comments Wilder thrives on!

Keep up the good work next season, it’s a fabulous feature of the forum is this!

Any part timers or plastics coming next season should be made to repeat that hundreds of times, before they are allowed in.

Plenty of us saw them through the shitty times, but memories can be short and some will soon turn on the team and CW If we hit a bad patch.

Oh well "A view from" is ending the season on a high plenty of bitterness and bollocks just one thing to ask the Stoke fans............. Are you wendy, are you wendy, are you wendy in disguise, Are you wendy in disguise?
