Thanks Roy. I wonder how much of this pessimistic attitude is as much from living in Stoke as watching terrible football each week. I suspect a bit of both, but if I was them, I wouldn't worry too much from conceding from corners against us.

Apathy isn't so much creeping in, it forcibly smashed its merry way in six years ago and has been squatting ever since.

The general feeling is that this will be nothing more than a routine home victory. We have pretty much no midfield, both tactically - we're playing a sort of 4-2-4 with two lightweight wimps as the 2 - and literally - everyone is injured. Hence the hundred shots against in 4 games or whatever it is. The reason we've scraped draws is because our goalie is comfortably outperforming every other in the division if you look at xG prevented, and that's not going to last forever.

Still, we live in hope. Maybe he'll tighten it up against a playoff team away. We do have it in us to create good chances as well as gift them to the opposition... Souttar and Campbell were decent players for us but I imagine we'll be fairly indifferent to them now. Tyrese got a rep for being lazy so he might get a bit of half-arsed stick.

The difference is that Jags, who has been retired for a year, has scored since then, Rhian is still searching for his follow up goal

Nice to see no "Sheffield" references. they don't seem a confident bunch.

It seems (this will ruin it) the perfect game for us to cut loose and take the reins off this team, there i a lot of attacking potential so lets get scoring goals and moving forward as a squad. Sereki in, Burrows in, get both pushing up high and wide. Brooks and Rak-sakyi providing pace and cutting inside to create space for overlaps.

Vini back in to help break up play, Blaster to be able to push a bit higher because of it.

If we can't do it at home, at 3pm on a Saturday, against a team who are inviting shots, with the back drop of what has to be a proper, respectful, appreciative, noisy tribute to one of the most passionate, blades players we have ever had...

On our board I keep a very anorak-y list of all the players who have scored a goal for us and against us. I have a hundred so far. Every season one or two more are usually added - in Soutts, RND and Tyrese, tomorrow you have THREE players who could (odds-on will) earn their place on it.

Incidentally we have one player on our team who has scored against us but not yet for us... step forward Mr E. Stevens........ please
