The view from is like going out for a meal, you look forward to your srarter,(the view from) then on Saturday you have the main course followed by the pudding course ( the view from) and then you sit back and say, I really enjoyed that.

Sounds about right for this season. Last season it was like going round Sweeney Todd's for a meat pie supper. Indigestion kicked in 10 minutes into the main course and most of the night was spent retching down the bog.

Nice interview with Hurst, respectful but not in awe, just what you'd expect from the Shrews manager. Will be an interesting game that we must be in the right frame of mind for (unlike the first half at Chesterfield).

Apologies if already posted

Pig Hursts pre-match interview

And yes Mr Hurst, we all do know you're a pig :D

Agreed with pretty much everything he said there, fair play to him.

Does sound a bit bloody boring though.

Wait! I can see the report headlines now..."Taming of The Shrews".
You heard it here first, folks.;)

Only this season.

Last season it was like being told you've got terminal cancer, followed by a sledgehammer to the nads, and finished off with an unconsented buggering from Marcus Tudgay.

Sounds like there's a bit of belief within that lot in terms of an upturn in form. Perhaps we've got more of a game on our hands than we think.

Complacency stemming from our win at their place a few week back would be suicidal. I'm getting an early doors 4-hour coach from London to be back for this after a night on the sauce and the waccy baccy, so we'd better be bloody good.

UTB!

I'm hoping their slight upturn in form and belief will mean they will try and play a bit, as opposed to shutting up shop for a point. If they open up we can tear them to pieces and win handsomely.

On a side note, never had any issue with Shrewsbury. Remember going there for a league cup game in (I think) 05/06 promotion season and spending half the match shouting various immature comments at a very young Joe Hart who was in goal for them. Also found their fans to be very welcoming to my little band of 19-20 year old mates and me, and we enjoyed a couple of pre-match pints in one of "their" pubs with no hassle or aggro whatsoever. I wish them well (after tomorrow of course...I hope they get thumped 5-0 tomorrow).

I shall be waiting at the coach station with three of SYP's finest with a spot the welshman detector and a drug testing kit. Beware and be afraid TJ!

Should be able to throw them off the scent with a bit of evasive action. I'm only half-Welsh, you see :D

Think they will provide sterner opposition than we might expect, however our crowd are well and truly behind the team now. No getting on the players backs now, just vocal encouragement

I don't belive there is anyway Wilder will let the players think this is a foregone conclusion, he will point out Shrews recent upturn in results and tell them he expects them to treat this game as if they were playing the League leaders.

I'm feeling a 2-2 upset, one of few dropped home points.

Then again I'm also feeling a 3-0 win.

We could also come crashing back down to Earth with a tight 2-1 loss.

What is life.

Hurst seems a really decent bloke and he's playing it cool. I really think we'll need to be on top of this tomorrow

Never been as confident in a Blades team for years. Good players snapping at the heels of the lads in possession ,ie, Scougs, Lavery, Clarke, Chapman and O'Connell to name a few will keep them on their toes as will Chris and Alan. Considering Shrews form of late i predict a hard fought victory of 2-1 or 3-1 Blades.

Went there many years ago to the original "Gay Meadow" by the side of a river, there were folks in boats waiting to retrieve any balls that were kicked out of the ground.

As always I hope we gain 3 points from opponents who have no reason to fear us after their last visit.
We will need to be absolutely on top of our game in every respect and in all departments.
My youngest and I will as per be observing and hoping from the Westfield Upper.
