Our biggest threat is thinking we can just turn up and get three points. But I can't see CW letting complacency creep in. .

Wilder has previous recent experience on the scenario United face tonight.

In the 2nd half of last season Northampton were big favourites for most of their matches but Wilder managed to keep them focussed and expectant of tough matches as they went in their long unbeaten run.

I'm confident he won't let any complacency slip in tonight.
However It's exactly the type of game United tradionallly lose,
so it will be interesting how we react after having our best performance in several years.

We need to avoid the troubles of Fleetwood where we gave the opposition a chance to sit deep and defend something, and we need to keep putting points on the board in game where we're clear favourites. I'm starting to believe...

I agree with most on the subject, we are all more confident than we were but still cannot completely shake the feeling off, what I tend to do is think of Wilder and my confidence comes straight back, no guarantees on the win just a definite lift in my positive feeling, 0-4 tonight.

Two away games on the bounce and four points would be a decent return, this looks the more winnable one and I do expect us to win.

2-1 Blades, Sharp first half and Chapman from the bench to get the winner.

I rather lost count of the number of times I listened to RS in the past seasons where we were playing lowly opposition. In many cases against teams who either had not won for weeks and/or had not scored a goal for several matches. We would have quite a bit of the possession and created a few half chances that we had missed. The opposition had created nothing and Keith Edwards would be saying how poor the opposition were and he could not see them scoring at all. Within 5 minutes the opposition would be 1-0 up, probably with their first chance of the match and we would be chasing the game and we would either lose 1-0 or more probably would concede another goal and lose 2-0. Keith has always had the worst case of commentators' curse I have ever come across.
This season? I hardly dare listen to RS tonight but I do feel that there is a completely different atmosphere, team spirit and winning mentality to this team so I am more optimistic but please Keith don't put that curse on us tonight.

Agree with previous sentiments, under previous managers we'd have gone 1-0 down fairly early and be chasing the game, we'd endeavour to get an equaliser and be hit on the break and go 2-0 down, we may have nabbed a goal late on to give us that familiar hope of a draw, only to be disappointed. This has a different feel for me now, teams that have got out of this league have gone to struggling teams and stuck 3 or 4 past them without getting out of 2nd gear.

Shrews 0-3 Blades for me tonight.

Hope you stuck a few bob on that prediction then before kick off. Strange i also fancied 3 nil tonight, but didnt have the courage of my convictions. Shame on me for doubting Sir Wilder but its just a legacy of being kicked in the balls by Utd so many times over the years that i find it hard to trust them completely...maybe i might start doing so again...
