It isn't all that bad of late - only lost 1 in their last 6 at home, albeit a 1-5 thrashing from Wigan. It looks OK for us here because Shrewsbury's home form is poor but their away form is good.
Open-minded about this one. We've been playing much better of late but still haven't recorded back-to-back wins. They'll be up for it considering their victory at our place, but we used no subs in that game and it was a side which featured Baxter, Collins, Freeman, Harris, Sammon and Reed. Only Sammon and Reed could play tonight, and I doubt either will feature, so they're up against a much-changed SUFC side to the one they tonked.
I'd like a bit of revenge tonight, as that earlier game is a very bad memory. Having said that, they're fighting to stay up, so we can expect a bit of a battle. Just hope we have the quality to turn 'em over.
Didn't realise Blackpool only have three games left to Shrewsbury's five. That makes the situation a bit less desperate for them. Beating them tonight would serve two purposes - firstly three points for us, secondly making their game at Gillingham on Saturday more important. It looks OK for us here because Shrewsbury's home form is poor but their away form is good.
“On occasion, 3-5-2 has worked well this season..."
Starting to sound like 3-5-2 is becoming fashionable down here in the murky Division Three depths.
Nige as tactical innovator? Or a previously out-of-touch grandad that's finally got to the party & is now busy getting down with the kids?
Who cares? - let's just out-3-5-2 em tonight & get a bit of revenge for the earlier humiliation.
Bladeacoaster in sort of late-season warming up mode.
Pretty sure we made 2 subs at half time with McEveley and another defender coming on (McGahey?). Seem to recall Collins going off. Sharp and Hammond also played in that game and will be playing tonight I expect.
Official match report says we made no substitutions, and I'm pretty sure I was quite vocal about the lack of subs in the pub afterwards.

OS said:Adkins reacted by making a triple change at the break. Baxter, Collins and Reed were replaced by Done, McEveley and Edgar, with the latter two making a central defensive pairing.

Dunno how you're looking at that page TJB but we made three changes at half time: Baxter, Reed and Collins off; McEveley, Edgar and Done on. Baxter and Collins' substitutions may or may not have been as a result of a dust up.
Triple half time substitution it says there. Done, McEveley and Edgar replacing Collins, Reed and Baxter.

Our line up for that game was:
Long
Freeman Basham Collins Harris
Baxter Reed Hammond Adams
Sammon Sharp
No wonder we got torn apart. That midfield is awful.
I should like to report that the ENTIRE TEAM was fu**ing awful that night and should have been deducted 3 months wages, flayed with a cat-o-nine tails and warned that their contracts would be terminated at the end of the season for impersonating footballers.
It was a disgrace and they rightly had to suffer the "you're not fit to wear the shirt " chants !!!
Rant over .....

Yes,he scored Shrews first goal at the Lane after I think we went 1 up...One of the many Prem loan players that every L1 side seems to have, and usually stand out against us..on loan from Palace i think.Very much looking forward to the game tonight in my home town.
I feel confident that the Blades will win with ease, but one player who is talked about on the local radio as being of premiership quality is Kaikai,so he needs to be kept quite.

Sorry, agree with others above, we did make changes at half time, Collins ran off and never came back, but he did the following game.
