We are a direct side. You can be direct and play on the deck, too. It's a common misconception that direct = long ball.

Direct just means you aim to get the ball in good areas as quickly as possible.
I disagree. Direct has tended to mean teams that start most of their attacks from goal kicks and long balls into the opponents' half but have more to their game than just route one and kick and rush. The way most teams used to play when the pitches were dodgy and building from the back was risky.

I'd say we're an attacking team. We usually have the majority of possession and build from the back but we do so with purpose, we don't pass for the sake of passing, we don't fanny about, we just look to find the spare man so we've got good possession and look to launch another attack. I think we're very much a modern football team, good with the ball, good without it with tactical flexibility. Probably the closest English team to us is Spurs, who can dominate games with good possession and pressing from the front but adaptable so they can go to Madrid and 'do a Mourinho'.

Nah BB, we are 'dirty Northern scum' and no way can we be close in style to the darlings of the London media, THFC.

That's all well and maybe, but it doesn't really fit the stereotype, does it.
Get it edited into something more acceptable for anyone who hasn't been to S2 for a couple of years.
Ideally drop a few lazy references in to Bassett and Warnock too, while you are at it.
Oh, and mention the Tevez affair.
And Ched's conviction in 2012 (but no need to mention the second court case).
Perhaps even an obtuse mention of the Battle of Bramhall Lane?

Tottenham the darlings of the media? Give over. They're poorly represented compared with Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool.

But you're right, we like to keep it tight at the back, are very physical and rely mainly on set pieces. We're a one man team heavily dependent on the pace and power of Billy Sharpe.

Arsenal get plenty of stick for lack of bottle, Liverpool for their comedy defending and even Manyoo for being a bit dull.

Spurs have taken over from the CheatinAmmers with all the wanking over their superb use of young English players.

Apparently their wonderful academy brought through Walker and Ali. Both of whom joined Spurs as embryos and all their development happened in Tottingham.
All of it.

funny how when they refer to their own team and players they say ,them and their and not us and we ,very strange but says alot .it's probably their second team behind arsenal and spurs etc.

Funny you should say that, a guy I work with is a Man United Fan, but because Reading are local he supports them and goes to see them rather than Manure as he can see them on the box, best of all was for the play offs last year he was hoping they did not go up as he did not want to pay more for his tickets

Only one of them did that from what I can see...?

I actually heard someone on a phone in say that about Kyle yesterday but Matt Smith quickly corrected him.

this game shows how far we have progressed in short space of time. that as a newly promoted side we are favourites against a team that narrowly lost the play off final last season

Do we stick with Bacuna at RB and Gunter at LB? It looked pretty good last game? I guess the only worry is if they have a great right winger (don’t know the opposition very well) Gunter might get caught out?”

right then we know where we are sticking Mark Duffy or David brooks. as sounds they will have a field day

I think the Leeds game for them was their "turning the corner" game, which - similar to Norwich and Forest - inconveniently is followed by playing us.

And we know how the other two games turned out...

Nothing to lose from this one:
3 points, top 2, happy days
1 point, top 6, happy days
0 points, top 6, happy days

We're not going down,
We're not going up (I think),
We're Sheff United and we don't give a sausage

:)

We're almost a 1/3 of the way into the season. We're above the fabled 2 points per game ratio.

The optomism should start at some point? Why shouldn't we go up, we're one of the best sides I've seen this season and that's chopping and changing most weeks.

We're winning, that'll do for me.

You should never ask what is in the Hot Dog, just enjoy it :)

"Shares in Crab Industries (Food Division) took a massive fall today, as it was revealed in a Ratner style interview that their hotdog sausages were literally a load of old bollocks."

Reasonable comments and hope it stays that way after the match as no doubt there’ll be few few on the train with me back south.

There's no debate Crabster. Especially as it's Crab Industries' Poultry Lips Stripping Division who, along with Big Vern's "management", have the lions share of the market

Stringy, only the finest earholes, lips and arseholes make it through the Crab Poultry (a division of Crab Industries) quality control process. Nothing goes to waste on our Chickens. This is our commitment to being environmentally friendly and has almost nothing to do with cost issues.
