Thanks Roy. Tricky one this but think we'll get our shit together tonight. Big result tonight to get us back on track.
I've got us for 3 nowt.

Who the fuck is Mick Beale? Is it Ian's brother?
I had to look him up and can now see he had a nonentity playing career followed by working in Gerrard's set up at Rangers and Villa.... and people are questioning whether Wilder has the credentials for a Championship club
He's tomorrow's man

People from London are weird snobs. I've been to QPR. It's not exactly in the heart of Kensington
Is it a particularly rough drive from Bristol to London? Because otherwise I'm not seeing the relevance of that to 'fatigue'

I don't mind QPR. I associate them with playing good football but being flimsy. Danny Baker described them as a "Kindly Aunt" and that's always seemed fitting to me

Think we might lose tonight saying that. The complete and utter lack of a LWB + the baffling idea that we must still play a system where LWB is a must is a step too far. 1-2

That was pre Pornhub though when a kindly Aunt gave you sweets and cake and the like when you were a kid.
Now a kindly aunt catches you watching porn/having a wank and shags your brains out. Sign of the times.

The problem is if you switch to a back four, the entire defence is playing out of position.

There's no easy answer until players start coming back. I think Saturday showed that the injuries are finally starting to bite. I would agree with you that a narrow defeat seems likely.

I'd say all member of the 'back 4' would have a reasonable amount of experience through their careers of it. And that's better than saying to RND "you're playing CB and WB today lad. Good luck"

Because that's what happens.

After demolishing Blackburn and Reading we felt unbeatable and this then transferred into having more bollocks in our away games, which in turn lead to away wins, and the good performances continued.

But injuries are now piling up, and with Brum coming and playing well things suddenly don't seem quite as comfortable.

These are the times when managers do dumb shit like play a forward at LWB and completely ruin the fluency of a team, or drop Sander Berge back into DM and completely ruin the fluency of the team.

Hecky has to be brave through this injury crisis, the only real change is Anel, the injury crisis hadn't slowed us down previously to that.

So replace Anel and keep the same plan, and don't try and reinvent the wheel because an important player is missing
What plan do you recall that has no left footed wing back ?
Someone has to play there unless you go to a back four against marauding strikers .

Yeah I can see us losing tonight QPR seem to be in good form. Injuries are taking their toll on us Anel is a big miss as he takes us to another level on the right side and we have no left sided defenders left. Khadra at LWB is certainly not the answer on Saturdays showing In defence and midfield we are down to the bare bones we desperately need some players back fit.

TBF to Hecky, I think Khadra's performance for Germany u21 may have influenced asking him to do a job at LWB. He played a LW role which often involved him carrying the ball through the middle third, almost gaining ground as his job.

I'm not sure it went particularly well, but having said that Khadra almost scored/assisted with a cross that went a whisker wide. He also slipped at the end of a delicious move, where he'd just got into a potential shooting position.

Personally I'd have thought about Baldock RCB and Khadra RWB (v Birmingham). But I see what Hecky was trying (kind of) and IN HECKY WE TRUST 😎🤣

Thanks Roy.

Hmm, one or two of them are a bit cocky but supporters have to have hope so I don't mind that. Looking forward to a good free flowing game (please don't fuck it up ref), with us coming out on top.

"As an indication, they’ve had 27 bookings, the second highest in the league, compared with our 16.“

Tbf about 6 of these bookings have been for McBurnie and Ndiaye celebrating goals.
Thanks Roy

Also depends on which website you look at one says we are top one says we are 3rd.

Another says McB is our highest with 4 and then Anel with 3.

I'm surprised we're as high up the yellow card list as that.

If we were a physical side I'd admit it. There's a few who don't take any shit and have pushed, shoved and chatted their way into the book. 2 or 3 for "over-celebrating" and Wes' was for timewasting.

Otherwise we seem to make deliberate, take-one-for-the-team type fouls more than leaving a foot in or going in late etc.

Thanks Roy, hopefully we have prepared a little better than for Brum. They did a job on us. I think QPR will let us play, woe betide them. I see a 3-0 backlash. We have only struggled against organised ugly teams. QPR aren't that good, similar to Reading.
