Wonder if Wilder will allow Hecky a proper ovation from the South Stand this season.

No-one will convince me otherwise that last season he deliberately came across to the BL side of the SS to acknowledge the fans just as Hecky was starting to walk towards the tunnel. I can only remember him doing so that quick after the end of a game maybe one other time.

If I remember correctly last season Gary Sinclair was off sick when Preston came so lots blamed the stand in announcer for that.. let’s see if it’s different tomorrow… there is not a lot of love between Wilder and Hecky

I wouldn't bother - they'd probably miss the turn off for Preston anwyay.

Wonder if any of that has to do with Billy Sharp.
In January I was at that event at the City Hall with Morgs, TC, Paddy Kenny, Brian Deane and Billy.

Billy said that in the promotion season, under Hecky, he’d been promised a new 1 year contract all season but at the business end he was blanked by Hecky until he eventually said he wasn’t getting one. My Avar is Sharpy on the Town Hall balcony during the reception for the promotion party.

With Billy and Wilder still mates I am speculating that there may be something of a resentment still bubbling under.
