I hope Preston get promoted soon. And then come back down. Some success and excitement, but not too much. Any more than 1 season without Preston and the championship would not survive

Problem for them is that for at least 15 years they've not had the budget for it, if they ever have at all. They've had numerous solid, well managed teams but never quite enough quality to go the extra step

It's a long time since I've seen a team so anti-football at The Lane as Preston were today. Used our players, especially Hamer, as target practice for their cloggers and they had fuck all intentions of trying to win that game. Their time wasting from the first five minutes was horrible to watch, so it is really satisfying to send them back to Lancashire with nowt.
