They are right, they deserved to win last season, they were the better team. If there is any football justice, we batter them tomorrow, they win. Let's hope there isn't.

My first night game at the lane was Pompey on a Tuesday night. Two great dives from Bradders, two standard pens from Duffield, to the bottom right, to cancel out a superb goal from their forward (Guy something or other).

Has there ever been a better penalty taker than Peter Duffield for us?

I remember that game well was stood on the Kop with my much missed dad, the first pen was indeed a dive by Bradshaw but the second pen was for a push on John Francis.. also Duffield put the second pen into the top right not bottom right as he thought correctly the keeper might guess right the second time.

Duffield never missed a pen for us had a 100% record.

Great memory. Yes now you mention it Francis was pushed (he was tripped at Oakwell that season and Bryson scored it). I don't remember that Duffield put it in a different place!! I was stood with my dad too. Happy memories.

Think it was on Halloween night, as I went to Cairo Jax afterwards, and ended up with a Linda Lusardi poster they were giving away🤷‍♂️
I can remember some right pointless crap, but not what I was doing last week.
The a few years previously they was the game they had 3? sent off, Beagrie received a red for us.

Before my time, but I recall a game under Warnock when we won 4-3 (?). It was a crazy game, I seem to remember Crouch scoring for them and then Derry getting sent off? Did Furlong score for us, or am I getting mixed up?

Wasn't the Dellas wonder goal against pompey?

Need to follow up Sundays result with a win.

It was .. that suave old charmer Alan Ball was the Pompey boss and called it “a lucky winner” .. a phrase he used a few times over the years when we beat his sides.. he was a well known Blades hater.
