If he does it will be interesting to see how he performs.

He has looked scared to death in each of the 7 derbies when he played. Maybe no longer having the "massive" weight of the Wednesday shirt on his back will make him more comfortable.

Neil might see him as a bit of a wild card today, as a player who is desperate to prove a point. On the other hand Bannan may also be dreading the thought of playing us again.

Used to live in Deptford, went to the Den a couple of times, never had a problem down there. The atmosphere down there is terrible though but that’s because they weren’t in form and sitting 5th in the table which seems is all it takes for their part timers to show up. Tin pot club if we’re honest.

Played well at Charlton though...

True. I should have added a caveat, 'subject to United not find another way to unholster their 6 shooter and managing to shoot thenselves in the foot in the process'.

The Charlton game was a bit of an anomaly but it was almost fascinating to see how United managed to screw that one up in a game where they were in complete control. That game still rankles me.
