“20 years ago… Teams with about 9 or 10 wins out of 31 games at this stage of the season would be usually fighting a relegation battle, not competing for european places”

Indeed Manchester United. Indeed.

Other than that, can't disagree with anything. Not confident for this one.

Also, I’d love to see Wilder get a shot at the Ireland job in the future. Feel like he’d be a perfect fit for us.”

Good shout.

Took me all 15mins to click on that Roy, was dreading it, but not all bad, wonder if any of them live within 20miles of Manchester???

Really don't think we'll get owt tomorrow.

Have any of them watched us since the return? Amazed how so many think it’ll be harder for them than pretty much anyone on here thinks!
Maybe the players will be overconfident and we can sneak a cheeky result, who knows but I’m not betting my pension pot on it!

Did they look at the wrong column? We've won 11 games, only 1 less than they have!

Here's the table from 20 years ago after 31 games - 44 points would've had us 9th, a mere 18 points clear of relegation. Even if we'd only won 11 games and lost literally every other game we'd still be 7 points clear.

Sorry, I've no idea why this annoyed me so much...

They're rightly confident, would be a disaster if they failed to take 3 points.

Wolves will be hoping we can do them.

You're not on your own. I thought it was bollocks when I read it. When we got relegated in 2007 it was only the second time 38 points had been relegated since the PL started.

The game in hand plus the injuries has made it a punishing start for us so far, if you add to this the poor refereeing it's little wonder that the teams confidence has taken a knock.
But we have a tough bunch of lads with a magic managerial team in charge so I feel confident we'll soon be back to our best,
Ok this game could be a step too far just now but then again it just maybe the spark that relights our fire..
I think the lack of that away support has hit our lads harder than most teams, in fact I think some of them are playing better with out theirs,, but this all go's to show how important to the team the support of you good old Shoreham boys really is.......👍👍👍

I was licking my lips for this one before the restart but really not looking forward to it. Play as we did against Newcastle and we could drop four for the first time. Can only be positive though. Wilder will have had words and hopefully we can play with the sort of intensity we did against them at Bramall Lane. A point here would be fantastic if we could get it.

As long as we get a goal and put in a decent performance, I couldn't really care about the result. Sunday is far more important.

Cheers Panchero!

Actually 20 years ago, a team with 10 wins would be well clear of relegation and a team with 44 points would be in the top 10. But then, any excuse to show a table from the year 2000, grandad......

Not very confident about this one. If we don't liven up, it could be very painful.
We need a big reaction from the players.

Thanks Roy. Much appreciated as ever. Not much to say about them, but theres some knowledgeable ones from their supporters who know something about football.
And the usual ones from the supporters who are feeling bitter that they can't spend fortunes in the Man Utd superstore and spend the entire 90 minutes sharing photos of the huge pile of carrier bags with various tat in like drinks coasters with Pogbas face on...
I would imagine.

Thank you Roy, only a couple of holier than thou posts, strangely.
Generally I don't think they have seen our games or scores since the restart, Though seem to know who are unavailable to us.
Surely we cannot be as lethargic as at Villa and put in another 'Fred Karno' display as at Newcastle.
