First. Cheers Roy

Not been overlooked like that in a while.

Cheers Roy

Looking forward to the overreaction from some unitedites to this

They should be expecting to win and maybe win comfortably especially given where we are, we aren’t being disrespected, just acknowledging we are also banged up like they are and we are struggling right now

Fair comments overall and a good point about Brewster. Of all the sides we will play him against this season, they know him well and will understand how to deal with him.

Honestly all very level headed comments. Third to last one even complementary.

Can't see anything other than a 3+ goal defeat. I don't think we can make them respect our attack enough to not just sit their back 4 on the half way line and swamp us in our half. It'll be desperate defending, lump it and hope

Thanks as ever Roy!Nothing in there that comes as any surprise. And they're probably right!
That said,I could (and I'm clutching at straws here)see us get a draw...

Regards Brewster... they are the one team that know him well and will know how to deal with him??... fook that! Returning player always scores against his former club everybody knows that... ALWAYS!!
4-1 Blades, Brewster hat trick! UTB!!!

“Playing a shit boring team. Expecting a shit and boring match.”

I would love to argue against this point.... but I can’t, we have been a tough watch since Anfield away last January.

Would broadly agree, but there have been smatterings of good play in 2020.

We didn't beat Spurs, Wolves & Chelsea without playing some nice stuff.

We were also excellent away at Man City, just after Liverpool. We deserved something from that game.

There have been spells this season where we've looked our old selves; 1st half v Fulham, 2nd half v Wolves - but found lacking in the opposition's box.

I'm not sure whether what remains of last seasons players (after injuries) has enough to stop the rot.

I think if we're to survive this we need either Oli Burke to surprise us all, or Rhian Brewster to hit the ground running.
Or maybe even a slight change in style with Ampadu coming into midfield, or Bogle & Lowe turning out to be great attacking threats from wide.

We look a bit impotent & stale. Things need freshening. I'd give all of the new boys their shot over these next few games. Sure, it's going to be tough to see their full potential against the big boys, but we might get flashes. We need the extra pace & mobility if we're going to get something on the counter .

Obviously we're heavy favourites to lose. But if Burke and Brewster are fully fit, they should have opportunities to get in behind Liverpool's very high (and recently shaky) high line, who are notably lacking their world class GK and CB.

MAYBE this is the game we take our chances and are the latest team to get a shock result against them.

Yeah maybe. It’s possible.

That’s the thing with sport. You just never know.

Who in the world thought that villa would thrash them like that? Who thought we would thrash Chelsea at the back end of last season when our form seemed to have deserted us?

If we get the rub of the green and actually take our chances we could surprise a few.

We've let in less goals than they have. Liverpool have let in 13, we have let 7 in and 2 of those in the first 6 minutes of the season. They must have a really crap defence and keeper then.
I'll not mention the 13 they have scored - oops I just have done!

Cheers Panchero!

Liverpool fans were very respectful and complimentary last season when we were flying and understandably now they are expecting a comfortable home win. I can’t really argue with that as 9 times out of 10 they would be expected to win. I just hope the team from the first half v Fulham turns up rather than shambles that came out for the second half otherwise we could be in for a long evening.

Ant really disagree with anything about the Ramsdale comment. To be honest if I was them I'd expect us to win.

They seem to have a respect for Rhian, so hopefully he'll prove them right.
