Errrrr nerrrr they deeernt like us very much.

Not as good as Leeds? Look in the mirror soft lad, even the pigs are light years in front of you.

And another parachute payment moan and piss from a team that recently benefited from them. Cry more you strange talking wankers.

God I hope we smash these fuckers all the way back down Claaaave Sullivan waaaay.

Cheers Roy

Seems like a lifetime ago since we played them at Wembley and we had a young Harry Maguire striding out of defense and they were Premier League big dogs (or thought they were).
How times change.
Well it was 11 years ago this year

Standard not as good as Leeds comment - makes it into every view from. Makes me laugh when this pops up, does no one actually look at the table? Currently we are the best team in the division with the best record and ppg.

People forget that when Hull were languishing in Div 3 at Boothferry a lot of their current “fans” were on the Leeds O’Leary Champions League band wagon. All convieniently forgotten now though.

Wish we could give them a 90 minute dry bumming. My only real criticism of this team, and what sets Leeds apart in my opinion. The ability to just inflict a dry bumming for 90 mins non stop. To be fair it’s also Leeds downfall, as their weird fans demand it constantly, and it makes them more suceptible.

Was proud to be a blade that day! Was nice just being able to see us score at Wembley for once 🤣

Surprising lack of comments about them apparently seeing us crying on Wembley Way. I know I can speak for every Blade when I say my eyes have only just dried in the last month or so from that catastrophe of ours and triumph of theirs.

Can only hope they give it a few bars at the ground tonight.

I bet there were a few more tears after the final, 2-0 up against Arsenal and they managed to lose!
Hull are like Coventry to me, a nothing club with delusions of grandeur. They did one good thing, Wednesday at Wembley, signalling their current demise.

Another club that is desperate to have some kind of, any kind of rivalry with a nearby big club.

Leeds aren't interested, the Pigs aren't, and we certainly aren't. Even the likes of Donny can't be bothered to entertain their desperate pleas.

Sorry lads, you'll have to stick to Grimsby Town and Bridlington AFC. At least then you can be the giant of the East Coast, well up until Boro anyway.

Morning Roygbiv, funny bunch that lot, anyway thank you again for your hard work cheers 🍻 👏

“We must never lose to the inbreds, mostly loathing, grunting 6 fingered hive of the worst we produce. You can see I was following city late 70,s / early 80,s.”

Charming. And somewhat ironic.

Shall we all bring our Hull City scarves that we nicked off them ages ago…

Fuck me this lot are like that little terrier nipping at your ankles when you go round your mother in laws house. You want to just kick em hard into touch and be done with em forever but you can’t because that would be seen as cruelty.

An absolute no mark of a club. Similar levels to Huddersfield, Coventry, Northampton, Rochdale, Walsall etc. so boring.

“Tom Cannon just signed for them. Parachute Payments are fun”

Fuck me, it's always bastard PaRaChUtE pAyMeNtS. And once again, it's from a club that has gotten them in fairly recent past, and did bugger all with them.

Got relegated from the PL the year we won League 1. After that, 18th and 13th in the Championship, then relegated to League 1.

Haven't even had a play off place since they were last in the PL. But sure, blame the "failure payments".
Didn’t they spend more than us pre season, or is my memory confusing them with someone else?

Per transfermarkt:

Hull: Spent - €29.2million, Received - €41.88million

Blades: Spent - €7.69million, Received - €45.80million

These figures don't account for loan fees. We've paid a fair bit on the JRS deal for example.

Also, because transfermarkt only shows transfers for the full season, and not each window, the Hull numbers may not be entirely accurate. It's possible I've included fees paid in January as well, simply because I couldn't be bother to look up all of their activity. I know they made one loan (Lincoln) and a free transfer (Amrabat) this month so those wouldn't have an impact. I did though discount the Cannon fee from our spending, as well as the Slimane fee from Norwich, so our numbers should be summer deals only.

I actually quite like Hull purely based on them beating wednesday in the playoffs, imagine what life would be like had the pigs won? Proper sliding doors moment that.

People around us on Saturday were saying ''let's batter them, get a 3rd and 4th'' but that would arguably have been foolish, and the only way to let Norwich back into the game. Mourinho used to say 2-0 was his ideal scoreline. Win the game and shut it down, get the points and move on, never let the opposition have a sniff.

Good point
It’s one of the big misconceptions of this season….but I stay quiet because I love seeing opposition fans pissed off thinking we’re trying to buy the league.

Fans of other clubs might see us buying 5 new players this window (all fairly big names) so they automatically think we’re overspending.

However the truth is:
We didn’t finish our Summer24 business and were short on numbers, eg we expected to bring in Mikey Johnston on the left wing and Tom Cannon up front
Our first 11 was strong but we started the season with the weakest squad depth amongst the promotion candidates.
We all said we’ll be alright as long as we don’t have injuries, we were OK up to December, now half the team seem to be injured and we’re struggling to fill the bench.

So signing 5 new players isn’t extravagant, it’s essential. We’re desperate for extra bodies and it’s a miracle we’ve still been winning.
Also we still haven’t overspent, people think it’s parachute payments but don’t realise we’ve brought in nearly £40 million selling Archer, Osula, Trusty, Bogle etc.
