“Other than the FA Cup game at ours when did we last beat this lot at home?. That said, tbf, we don’t play them that often.”

1-0 in 2018 wasn't that when Wilder had a rant at the players after the game?

“I hope that Walter has ‘now how he wants them to play’ I still feel there is more to impart his ideas in such a short time (especially to a ‘Blunts’ squad) who are far from novices in this League!-and more have a rivalry than they think with E.Yorks!”

What is this rivalry they talk of ? Apart from the match in the early 70s when the ref called all 20 outfield players into the centre circle to give them a good talking to, I can’t recall why we should be rivals. To me they are an east coast irrelevance.

“Season starts at Stoke“

That’s the stuff dreams are made of

“66% of adults in Sheffield are heavier than they should be. 100% of adults in Sheffield are ****s”

Cheers Roy

Adkins was Hull boss at the time as well

It was a genuine rivalry from about 1979 to 1986, due to playing them a lot, Keith Edwards moving between the teams, and one very, very close promotion race.

They hated us more than the other way around.

That's our only league defeat away at Hull in just shy of 40 years. Previous one was 8th October 1983.

Our record against Humberside Jungle Cats in my lifetime (that 4-1 defeat was when I was 3 weeks old) is pretty exceptional: P24 W14 D7 L3. Since football began in 1992 it's even better: P14 W10 D2 L2.

It's similar with another semi local side, Bradford. We usually have little trouble against them.

Lots more draws with Bratfut. Same timeframes: since the start of 1983/84: P30 W15 D11 L4. Since 1992: P20 W11 D8 L1.

Cheers Roy.

The 'View from' is one of the few reliable signs that the world is still turning.

I did have a sneaky thought in anticipation of it dropping this morning, but couldn't work out how to oraganise the conspiracy.
How long would it take for Roy to start questioning if the world was still turning if nobody came along and claimed the 'first'? 30 minutes? 3 hours? Still no 'first' responder. Roy furiously hitting refresh wondering if the internet has been cancelled.

Unfortunately, I was at that 4-1 defeat!

I am not sure why they hate us, but I can honestly say that I never liked them anyway.

A bunch of of gobby, obnoxious cunts.

Hope we stuff them.

The use of heavier is weird...

Not fat, not overweight, not obese, just heavier.

We are a city of bodybuilders is what I am taking from that.
