A mix of confidence and despair from the Gills, although there's a clear opinion that they can beat us. Seems there's an opinion we are smug and overconfident, but after 5 seasons in this division surely they must have noticed the underwhelming hope that we manage to maintain. We say the right things, but we all know we've failed to get a collection of winners together, at least until now! I hope/believe Adkins will be the catalyst to bigger and better times for the Blades.

Three managers plus a caretaker in four years and over a million posts on message boards expressing desperation to 'get out of this shit league' suggests he may have a point.
 
I can't really disagree with their comments about our supporters. I've come across quite a few of "our own" that I would rather not be associated with. We seem to have quite a number of seriously disrespectful people.
 
Ah that old feeling is back the day before kick off where I go from respectful and mindful of the opposition, to thinking its a disgrace if we dont go there and absolutely annhiliate them.

It is beneath us - but we have to EARN the right to get out and up until now we have failed miserably.............over to you Mr Adkins and the players.

I suppose having a home crowd nearly twice as big as most of the teams in our division we do come across as cocky or arrogant. And yes I personally feel we are much too big a club for this division. But.....this is where we are and we now have to prove we are better than everyone else and the only way to do that is to get promotion. So.........here's to what is hopefully our promotion season. UTB

Oh there are truly some numpties. Anyone calling a team who batters you as they did last season, a pub team...is on a par with the loathsome Leeds united, sadly.

Earliest memory of United v Gills is my dad coming back from Kent in a foul mood.We lost down there, Tony Cascarino bagged a couple iirc. Mid-80's I think.
 
I think it is disrespectful to the opposition calling them a pub team, when they clearly aren't. However, they do have to understand our frustrations that this is our 5th season in a league that we haven't spent much time in over the course of our history. We are definitely punching below our weight being in this league.
