Cheers Roy.

“They’re crap, they have Billy Sharp up front FFS”

They'll never learn.

Every man and his dog knows how we play - Sky are always describing it in detail. The issue other sides seem to have is stopping it.

That said, the poster you quoted is spot on, pacey wingers (Montero day 1) have us in trouble when the ball is conceded and they ping it into the corners. 2nd goal against Wigan was exactly the same, just a punt down the line towards the corner.

Take a peek at Porktalk and you'll find plenty of ignorant souls who still believe we play kick-and-rush. Not so long since that was the consensus view of fans in our division, and Paul Parker spouted similar a couple of weeks ago.

I think the better class of fan gets it, but I think we're also still underestimated in many quarters.

There was another pundit on the Sky Efl roundup - can't remember who it was but of the Clinton Morrisson level. He was saying what a strong, organised, physical team we were who played to our strengths.

Even when we had a midfield of Scougall Baxter and Alcock at centre half, we were still a big strong physical team. These fuckers are paid handomely for their lazy, banal thoughts as well.

This will be an Interesting fixture as after Burton. Even though they made 10 changes. It would be probably been a rough few days. Karanka was furious that a team that in League 1 & a team that has played 4 games in the last 10 days, with the same players, were much better than us, stronger than us, they wanted every ball more than us and that is it – it is down to the intensity and the hunger you have. They were much more hungry than us.

I find it absolutely incredible. We haven't been a big physical side since Blackwell and he left 8 years ago.

These horrendous pundits see our name, think of Warnock and Bassett, then see we have an English manager and presume we are still a long ball side. Everytime a pundit says we are a direct physical side they should be arrested

I think we should play along with them. Although I suspect the management at some of these clubs know better, the general consensus on how we play being so wrong can only be to our advantage.

Absolutely amazed theyre intent on Billy Sharp and havent mentioned McGoldrick at all considering he got absolutely lambasted, ridiculed and made a scapegoat every other week when he played by Forest fans.

We’re not weak though. Even the shorter ones have good core strength, like Fleck and Sharp. And Wilder and Knill do have us very well organised. It’s those things that allow us to play a good passing game (think about the Weir days when we tried to play like that but were piss weak and poorly organised).

Thanks Roy not sure what to make of these comments
- some sensible and some idiotic but at the end of the day NOBODY knows how the match will go or some of us would be millionaires from backing the teams that should win at the bookies - I had Rangers to win at home to complete a really nice accumulator against Kilmarnock and they did me out of about £300 !

Wonder if there will be a minutes silence for the Leicester tragedy and how well that would go down with them ?

Some shit is bigger than football
This is one of them
I hope they behave impeccably, but fear a few nobheads will show off
If it was Chanser, personally I would stay silent, more out of respect for his family, but I fear a few of our nobheads would show up and grab us a unwanted headline.... fookin Star would love that fucker.

Thanks Roy.

Weird lot, some sense, some nonsense & some idiocy, let's smash 'em!

No matter what the Forest fans have to say - it's about time we went to a top 6 competitor and put them well and truly to bed.

We've achieved a lot this season already - but we really need to put Forest to bed.

Good teams (which we are) put good teams (which Forest are) away on their own patch.

Both last season and this (to date) we haven't done well against the top teams.

If we REALLY are top 2 material, we need to start proving it by not only playing well (Bristol and Derby) but winning this game. This game is about the result, not the performance, but if we get a performance too, then all the better.

UTB

I don't think some of their fans have ever got over Sir Brian of Clough telling all how wonderful our fans were. They certainly haven't come to terms with finding out Robin Hood actually came from Loxley in Sheffield (the medieval equivalent of Parson Cross)

I'm still not sure how we lost to them last season (and my Forest supporting colleague agrees). We're owed one after that.

I hope you are right. Evangelos Marinakis is Forest owner.

Intelligent scab jokes? Why? I love it when our teenage fans shout scab, scab, scab, thinking it's to do with cut knees and elbows

Agreed. It's like those people who hate Maggie - even though they weren't born when she was PM. It's what politicians do - get people to fight amongst themselves to deflect attention from the fact that it's all their doing (see 'Brexit'). Back then it was when the miners strike was on and I was travelling all over the UK. In the Nottingham area it was a fairly common sight to see cars with smashed windows, paint chucked over them etc. Just honest working blokes who needed to work to live and didn't agree with the mob mentality.

i think it's great we're still flying under the radar. all of these morons think that we're a route one team .. some of them are in for a shock :)
